Thanks much Jeff !!! I am been lucky enough to have a Pal , Cammillus , and this Imperial that are all so much alike , that I can't tell them apart without reading the tang stamp . I guess I should spend some more time with them . I expect that all 3 of them were built in the 1939 to 1946 range .

That’s the new GEC 14, a “boy’s knife.” It’s very small.Pardon my ignorance I haven't got a traditional since I was really young. What is this single blade pattern called?
Looks good Gary, and as you pointed out Mr. Ohta stands behind his work.TGIF folks!
Picture is from my archives. Carrying the Ohta Wharncliffe today.
The little clip point, which now has a broken back spring, was just delivered to Mr. Ohta in Tokyo this morning, for repair.

Thanks for the info, Gary. I really like the unique style , it looks like I am going to need to pick one up and give it a go.Thanks for the kind words about the Biltong.I like it a lot. It reminds me in some ways of a MAM sheepsfoot I have, but I prefer the carbon steel blade of the Biltong, and the external backspring on the Okapi is preferable to the MAM's friction folder design.
Thanks Gary. The checkered metal with really cool colors makes for a handsome knife. It's not bone, but the "checkering" on Alox also has incredible appeal for me. Fantastic pic, Dwight!
You've only just retired... alas ... already going to the dogs...I guess I'll post some of my carries later; gotta feed the dogs now.
That is fun.A little Fun Friday
Thank you.Gorgeous !!
WOW! Outstanding!@Half/Stop Ron, it's not yet noon and you, @Jack Black ,joeradza , and @r8shell have posted potent pairings, and
JohnDF , @SteveC ,
Fodderwing , et al. have posted pretty pictures, turning this into almost a Thursday throw-down. Well, I'm not totin' a pairing today, but i did dig into a pile to pick my tote. I opened another box from the back room and found these, from which I picked a Model 18 from 1961-1971.
