What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

ha ha not a misprint :Dit's not unusual to even see -40 Although with global warming the winters have been a little warmer the past decade or so.
If I ever go to Canada, it will be in July! Saw Canada once, from Niagara Falls. May have been May or June. Weather was nice. Lot cooler than Texas, though.

@Duckdog Thanks Stuart,
Unfortunately that particular screw has devoted itself to a team of like minded screws who have committed to supporting an exterior door:thumbsup: So in its place I submit a photo of the Imperial electrician performing surgery upon another classic traditional knife I often use (GRAPHIC CONTENT WARNING: Some viewers may find the following image disturbing, due to visible "guts")

Very disturbing, David. But I've seen worse!

I really should get me a higonokami, since I have (as a former practitioner of japanese martial arts) some love of japanese aesthetics, knives included. It's nice that this knife comes with a pocket pouch. I also love friction folders, so this knife combines some of my favourite things. It is modern with traditional touches. I would not use for anything hard, but as a food prep and office knife it works well.

Have a fantastic day, my friend.

Thanks pal :) By coincidence, I have slipped one of those in my pocket today too :)

Thanks for the canoe comments, Jack. :) Your heraldic horn lambsfoot is high-class, but that Kelly pen is a real dreamboat!:thumbsup::cool:

My Lambsfoot of the Week is my rosewood Union Jack:

Thank you very much GT, nice to see your Union Jack :)

Beautiful knife Nick

And Ukulele Aerobics.

A little overloaded today, with A Wright and three Uticas.

Nicely filled pockets Jer

What a beautiful sleeveboard, Jack! Blades, covers - all make a great piece.

Thank you my kind friend :) I'll try to show some more of my penknives next week

I'm having a problem with my connection again today, so I'll hopefully upload some pics later, but I'm carrying my BF Drover and my ebony Guardians 2018 Lambsfoot. Have a good Friday folks, the weekend is nearly here

Thanks for the uke info, Jer. :) With the way the wind was blowing today, being overloaded was a fortunate safety decision, I'd claim! ;):thumbsup:
Yes, a good day for good ballast.

The e-authorities are actually split on whether you can lower your G and play the same chords the same way.
Maybe the simplest thing is to put a low G on one of my ukes and see if the class freaks out.

My more beaten-up Utica Tungsten:

My wife & I will be heading over to the annual three day county flea market & tractor show today. Her radar can pick out a vendor's table with Pyrex on it from a mile away, while I'm always drawn to vendors with old knives, tools, etc. I'll have this & an Alox Cadet with me.

Other than the food & seeing friends, I don't know why we bother. We're 70 years old & almost all the stuff we find at those places looks exactly like the junk we've stuffed in the attic or got tired of looking at & already donated to Good Will.

Food and friends is reason enough. :)

There are a few events like it around here every year. People come up here from the flatlands & suburbs to see us old farts show off vintage tractors, old craft making, & demos on how things were done in the old days. We pretty much sit around like that banjo playing kid from Deliverance & watch the city slickers & hippies. It's entertainment.:)
