  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I agree. They are slipjoint knives, but not really traditional.

Yes, I'm a big fan of the Pirate ride at Disneyland and also a big fan of the movies.
I was wearing a t-shirt with that saying in Florida after visiting Disneyworld. Was walking into a Cracker Barrel restaurant, and a stranger said to me: "That sounds like a threat!" I laughed, but I think I should have said something like: "Back off, Buddy!" Or "You wanna be the first?"

Thanks Jack. Lovely UK weather here... heavy overcast, dark, raining, cool and getting cooler. Small fire in the fireplace... :)

Glad you're enjoying it Dwight! :D

Nice knife and a cool pirate coin

LOL! :D I have a 'Dead Men Tell No Tales' postcard on the wall in my hall, and a visitor seemed to find it quite disturbing

He's under the patio! :D ;)

Yet more rain. But I have to plant garlic later.

The knife is an old HSB OVB ...don't know the maker..finely made... I love it...a gift from Mark

Check out this history of HSB.

Interesting history of the Chicago area (Evanston) hardware company, but I don’t think it will help tell who actually made it. Could be NYK, Ulster, Camillus, or ???
On AAPK, they use little clues like blade shape, bone style, etc to try and guess.

Then they call it good until someone else comes along and says it can’t be because X.

So true, Jeff !! Guess we will never really know. Fun to speculate and dream. The one in the apron...he had a hand in it.
