What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Aaron, it is a PVD coating that Case puts on some of their blades. What I like about it is that the blades seem to be consistently very sharp from the factory.

Oh, right. I'd forgotten about that option.

A very nice old Imperial !!!! I have one like it also and I am very happy to have one that I keep in my workshop. Made very well , great jigging , sharpens up well , and handy to have around and a real Surprise knife . I like it a lot !!!!

Good steel on these old Imperials !

Your post reminded me of this Schrade scrimshawed knife that I use more for rabbit hunting than deer. Yours is more useful and attractive IMHO. Oh, and I like duck hunting, too, so yours is extra special!!

Thanks, Stuart. That's a great looking knife too. I'm going to be on the lookout for more of them. Is that a Case sodbuster next to the Schrade?

Thanks Mark! Been patiently waiting for one of these Lionsteels and MORE THAN WORTH the wait! Amazed by it, now I need to keep a keen eye out for a Dark Ram's Horn, Spear only...

Regards, Will
I haven't seen a bad looking Rams horn model yet, dark or light! Yours is no exception!

Radiant rams horn on that Lionsteel, Mark!:cool::cool::thumbsup:
Your baseball story sent me off the deep end!:D:cool: I spent some time at breakfast searching for more data on the game, and then trying to piece together a plausible scenario for what the Pirates' innings looked like when they were batting.
Baseball-Reference.com provides a home run log for each player’s career. From that, we learn that:
1) Russell had a 2-run HR in top of 4th with 0 outs, changing score from 0-0 to 2-0 Pirates.
2) Carey had a 2-run HR in top of 7th with 2 outs, changing score from 3-0 to 5-0.
3) Carey had a 2-run HR in top of 9th with 1 out, changing score from 5-0 to 7-0.
4) FWIW, Russell hit a HR and Carey hit 2 HRs the previous day (7/29/22) against the Giants. (Carey had 10 for the entire season, 4 in those two games!)

From those benchmarks and the box score, you can deduce a bunch more facts, as well as some "options" of how the game transpired. If you're interested, let me know and I can send you the results of my playing "GT, Baseball Detective"!:D

Thanks for the compliments on the Lionsteel, GT! I think the Ram horn is absolutely radiant!
I hope you didn't get sucked too far down that rabbit hole! :) I really am very interested in anything else you were able to piece together. I had always assumed that this was a ball that had been hit out of the park, so I was looking for the last HR in the game, but I'm not sure about that. After you mentioned Morrison's pitching game, it made me think, maybe this ball was somehow a tribute to that.? It's the "Last ball in game" part that throws me off. Wish Gramps was here to ask.
Again, thanks so much and I'd love to hear any more thoughts "GT, Baseball Detective" came away with!:D:thumbsup:

Back home after a trip out West.
