What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I was in such a hurry this morning to finish this quoted post so I could go to my lunch hour basketball game that I forgot to post some of my carries for this week. Let me rectify that situation now (even though I'm in kind of a hurry to get to bed :D).

Alox of the Week is a Vic Electrician (thanks, gregc):

Thanks Dean!

You sure know how to pick 'em, bud!
That Case Teardrop is GORGEOUS.:thumbsup:

Nice seeing you, too. :)

Thanks, Dee!

Very nice, Dee, and a distinctive green!:thumbsup:

That 2-blade barehead bonestag model is very distinctive, Dean!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Another nice group of knives, Gary! Are you carrying more knives each day now that you are retired?

Beautiful pair Stuart

Very late posting today, but I've been carrying these two

Thanks, Jack, and a fine AC you posted, too.

These'uns today

That Case trapper makes me smile, David. Great choice.

Nice pair Stuart ! A PAL EO is on my want list

Thanks, Steve and the jigged bone on that old SW is stellar.

Couple of knives with buffalo horn- Puma Buffalo Horn Trapper, and a Camco Scout I took apart and fixed up with horn.
And of course, the Peanut.

Wow! You are on a roll. The bone on your EO is gorgeous.

Thak you, Jeff. I love your dog-chew covered Camco, but that peanut is sublime.

Today's tote.

That's a handsome barehead teardrop, Dean. Neat and clean!

Stockman of the Week is a Case pocket-worn harvest orange humpback stockman (thanks, Mike)

Yep, that's it, GT. I like the SAKs, especially the 'lectrician, but the bonny bone on the Case warms my heart.

Stuart another pair of dreamy cutlery. Amazing knives.

Thanks, Dwight.

That is a very fine photograph.

Wonderful whittler, Will.

Today with one of these formidable SAK pioneer old cross...

Terrific trio and well captured in the picture.

Two sleeve boards for me today...... :)

Those knives put the starch in my sleeves, Ron. Dressy!

Classic Cammi and Case, Jeff - just gorgeous working knives.

I love that Stuart, I have a very same knife and really love that shield, pretty unique I think;):thumbsup:

Thanks, Paul. Overlaying the time frames of the Hammer Brand and the fertilizer company, I put the production period for that knife at 1890-1932.

More stag

I'd like to see more stag like that, Alan.

Very handsome #2857, Nick. What a classy patterm, and well executed in that knife.

Radiant Remington, Steve. Great grain in the covers.

Fabulous picture, including the burnt ends touch.

Continuing with the same Barlow today, just in Ironwood for Wooden Wednesday.

That ironwood is wondrous wood, Dylan. I need to get something done up in that.

Did you ever get a knife that you just couldn’t seem to connect with and you can’t get rid of it because it was gift from your son? So you decide drop it in your pocket and give it another chance. And lo and behold, it just grabs you! And you think, oh yeah, nice knife! Well, that’s today’s carry.

Great gift and a fine knife, Ken. Yes, that's a special one. I had a Gerber folder that my son gave to me on a birthday and lost it to the TSA folks during a hurried rush through the airport (forgot to put it in checked bags before checking them). I had to silently shop for another before he found out.

Honestly earned scars add, not detract, from aknife's beauty and worth in my book, Gev.

That;s a ravishing robust Russell, Dwight.

Gorgeous "bat poop" knife! :p:thumbsup:

Congrats and thanks, r8shell. You are the only one to catch (or mention) the poop knife connection. you have a good eye (or nose).

What a beauty!!

Very nice of you to say so, and coming from a connoisseur like you I'm very gratified - your knives are always very tasteful.

It's a very recent present from @ISKRA and I'm delighted with it.

Not a bad BB Teardrop your were showing recently either ;) a lovely pattern.

Regards, Will

D Duckdog Thanks very much it is a very fair Half Whittler.

You know, I could do with one of those Bat Scat :poop: knives.. The loft seems to be inundated with the stuff :D Mind you, it's more than cool to have resident bats:thumbsup: I'm amazed they survive the horrors of winter....

That's a champ, Dave!:thumbsup::thumbsup: I have one in smooth white bone that I someday want to use for trying out a DIY scrimshaw kit. ;)
Thank you, Gary :) I just googled how to scrimshaw, it would take a lot of practice before I would be proficient enough to do it on a nice knife. I'm sure you'd be much better than I. :D

Noteworthy lambsfoot, Mike!:cool::thumbsup: What's the wood on the handle? Some kind of pale ebony??

Really like that Imperial serpentine jack!:cool::thumbsup: I have one similar to it that I'm carrying as a "free choice" knife this week:

That 2-blade barehead bonestag model is very distinctive, Dean!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

The mini trapper is both stylish and substantial, Senhor Pinto!:cool::thumbsup:

Superb cigar jack, Paul!:thumbsup::thumbsup: I turned 20 the year that knife was made, but I've aged a lot more than your knife has since then!;)

That pair, at first just ghostly, turned a whiter shade of pale, Dylan!:thumbsup:;)

That looks like an old friend, Vince!:cool::thumbsup:

Thanks, Paul. :)

Glad you have places where you can actually see the knife you're buying, David.:cool::) Your deep green is great, but I don't think I'd like a pale green version of the Buck canoe!

Thanks, Dwight. :)

Those black Bökers indeed do make a dashing dark duo!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks, H&S. :) If someone asked me if I was a fan of single blades, of clip blades, of lockbacks, I'd say No, No, and No, yet I like that copper lock a LOT!:D:confused:

Thanks, Spaten, and congrats on the chestnut stockman.:thumbsup::thumbsup: I sure wish that (and the small Texas jack) was available with round bolsters.

Thanks, Stuart. :)

Glad you came through the storms with no damage, Ron!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Striking dark/light pairing you've posted!:cool::cool:

That's a champ, Dave!:thumbsup::thumbsup: I have one in smooth white bone that I someday want to use for trying out a DIY scrimshaw kit. ;)

Thanks for your comments, Nick. :) That Brantford has delectable bone!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Is the secondary blade a small clip??

Congrats on getting the knife back, Joshua; lovely duo! ;) As I scrolled through the thread, I saw the "El Greco" at the top of your post and expected to see a different knife as I revealed the entire pic! :) Here's my view of Toledo (that I probably posted before):

Brown for sure, and so much more! ;):cool: Captivating couple of knives, Alan!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Aitor?? Very cool knife! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Very prestigious Barlow, Senhor Pinto!:cool::thumbsup:

I vote in favor of this pair, Stuart!:thumbsup::cool: That PAL could be my buddy anytime! ;)

Thanks, Jack. :) Excellent pair in your possession for the day!:thumbsup::cool:

Couple of capable, capital knives, David!:thumbsup::thumbsup: (Stick your green Buck under there and you've got yourself a cutlery traffic signal. ;))

Classic ebony/ivory pairing, Tom! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Your SW is a Winner, Steve!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Wow, John, you don't mess around!;) The phrase I bolded reminds me of a weekly song on the old "Hee Haw" show on TV:

Thanks, GT!
It is, supposedly, rosewood. Neither side has the reddish hue, typically on the rosewood versions, but I dig it.

Mine was a NOS win from a forum giveaway ( I wanna say fishcakes ) and had the plastic when I got it but was coming off so I removed it.
I find them a dandy little knife to carry, and for having been such an inexpensive knife the W&T is pretty good.
I always admired yours.

Let's just say that bats are the unofficial mascot of Austin TX, and we know from guano. :D
