What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

More gloom and dank fog today, this Moki looms into view ;)

Now that my year of trying GEC patterns is almost up, I'm pretty convinced that Moki will be the next brand I try. The fish owl looks so sleek, it is micarta (which I like better than g-10), and stainless. I've only heard excellent things about fit and finish, too.

Thanks, well it's mixed response.. In that it is G-10 but I like the fish scale effect. :cool:It's also linerless which I suspect you could not do with micarta? Too brittle? Means the knife is featherweight yet tough as nails which i like, yes Japanese stainless and very keen. F&F is a cosmos ahead of most other knives :D This is the small 3 3/8" size which I favour but there's a bigger one too for fans of the large knife. Very likeable carry, discrete yet effective.

Thanks Will! At several websites I've visited it lists the handle material as micarta, not g-10, so now I'm quite confused. I do like lightweight and although I've not had a VG-10 pocket knife, I have a couple of Shun kitchen knives, which are laminated VG 10. Work well enough for me.

We awoke to snow, then sleet, then snow, now more sleet. The roads are starting to freeze to a hard packed surface, slick as a eel in oil. I noticed some strange tracks in the freezing slush near my house and though it might be a sasquatch, but then recognized them as prints likely left by @Half/Stop. I'm sure that he's lurking near my lair. I'm not planning venturing far today, so I'm content to be totin' this one today.

Is that the trap ...lol

Thank you, Dylan, if the snow would stay above the tree line then this would be paradise. It's the slippery roads that make winter old before its time. :p:D

Over here, people lose their minds when a little bit of frozen stuff appears. Shuts down the major cities like nothing else will. :D

That's great to hear Dylan, we really don't have enough woodland here in the north of England, well not the sort of woods you could easily get lost in anyway. Thank you my friend, hope to see you in the Guardians thread soon. That's another great pic on your porch :)

Early afternoon here, and I have been carrying these two today :) It was cold and frosty at 7.00am when I went out, but that's turned into a nice sunny day. Hope it stays like this for the weekend :)

Thank you, Jack. One of these days (hopefully in the not so distant future), I would very much like to experience the Yorkshire countryside, I always love seeing your outdoor pictures. Speaking of pictures, that is a lovely shot of your Lambsfoot.

Sporting a wee bit of Sheffield Stag today myself.
