Beautiful lockback, has that impeccable mirror polish. My Dad has a fixed 4" drop point from this same era, I think early 80's? Fit and finish second to none, imo. Did S&W make these in house back then?Totin' a Smith & Wesson lockback hunter on a very windy (gusts to 45 mph) and cold day (23° wind chill). It is supposed to be 68° by Sunday!!

I agree. There is so much incredible cutlery in Europe and the knife makers I've spoken with have been kind, helpful and gentlemen in every way. Looking forward to many more.Good stuff! It's kinda nice to go beyond a comfort zone and purchase something completely different from the norm.![]()

My experience mirrors yours, Vince. I'll take one of everything, please!Great looking knives.
A few months ago, I just wanted a nice knife a little bigger than what I used to carry (small slipjoints & lockbacks under 3"), and now I want all kinds of knives from all over the world!
The stag stockman, and Henry, both look to be in fine form!...
Today, giving the Case some air time...with Henry oversight!

That stag coke bottle is an absolute showpiece, Dwight; "it's the real thing"!
Great pic of this knife that's caught your fancy, Nick!
Congrats on that rotten banana bone 85, Leslie; it's a mellow yellow!
Me, too!I've really enjoyed all the bananajokesjacks too!

Thanks, Alan; it sure is a thin folder! The SAK Secretary is an always appreciated gift to both knife knuts and the uninitiated.
Livin' the high life, Stuart!A cold drizzle met me this morning, so outside carry and photos were dubious. I did get out enough to gather some more Honey Mushrooms from my front yard as I may have mentioned previously. I made them into a rustic forestière mushroom soup (chicken stock, thyme, and rosemary work wonders). I added a strip of the Black Pepper Crusted bacon that we bought from our daughter-in-law at the farmers market and a Founders Brewing Porter.
...
My Wright lambsfoot (thanksJack Black ) was a bit shy, despite having helped in the harvest, so I had to shoot another pic. Silly knife!
