What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

It is getting to be a pretty redundant job of posting the same knife just about every Monday thru Friday , but I did carry this one again today and used it to open quite a few packages coming in for Christmas Gifts . Having this in hand is just like having a razor . It really is an Old Jewel .

Honestly , I will carry something else tomorrow . I do have a couple other decent ones to choose from . Does anyone have any suggestions ???:);)

Harry
Harry my friend, that makes two “Old Jewels” in that photo! :p:D If you like it and it does the job there’s nothing wrong with Totin it every day! That’s what people used to do. You can box up all those extra knives and ship them to Tennessee! You better not send any of Nancy’s by mistake, that would get me and you both in hot water!:D

I’ve got my pockets full with these two biguns today! :)

Some of us, most recently Harry @Old Engineer, have fessed up to repeatedly carrying a favorite repeatedly and foregoing sticking to a rotation.
I could do that. The only thing that scares me is that I might figure out that I have way too many knives.

At the risk of offending several cigar boxes of knives, these two are a couple I could stick with day after day - the #43, and a vintage TL29, in this case, a lovely old Ulster in cocobolo.View attachment 1036908

DO NOT go there. I've gone down that rabbit hole repeatedly. The truth is far too terrible. :p:p

Both of those knives are highly worthy. The 43 in particular seems to have a magical quality about it. It's neither too big nor too small for any job. The grip is just right. The weight isn't a bother. It cuts efficiently and the heat treatment is nothing short of spectacular. It's definitely one of GEC's most useful runs.

Today is another day of Camillus WW2 goodness. Plus a bonus pic from my Adirondack snowshoeing adventures last weekend.

Thank you, Jack, for the compliment and no worries on the lemons, they will occur in life whether you look for them or not. It is all about how you take it in stride . I love the combo you are sporting.

Very true my friend :) Thank you very much

Hard to leave a lovely old Lambsfoot like that out of your pocket Harry :)

Thanks, Jack,
Do you have dogwood over there? That looks like a dogwood flower right below that pretty stag.

We do Jeff, and I know just what you mean :) It's actually a stylised white rose, the symbol of Yorkshire :)

Those two will get the job done Ron! ;)

Lovely Camillus Buzz, and that bottom pic is incredible :)

I'm wearing pockety pants today, so I'm totin' some larger companions: a Queen #31 large (4") congress and a Queen #58 balloon jack (3.5"), both from 1958-1960.

Thanks, Mark. I've tried to not repeat any (not that there is anything wrong with that), but I may have. There are a few more to go. I have more Winterbottom in my Queen collection that any other covers.
