What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

This Taylor Brand is a pleasant surprise. Inexpensive this knife is extremely well crafted. Impressive and deserves a nod.

Very nice, Dwight; thanks for sharing. It looks like a close kin to the 66 posted by 315 315 .

In my pocket today a Northfield 35 Churchill in cull Sambar!

Great knife, Ron, cull or not.

I think the only knife I'm carrying this week that I haven't posted yet is a "free choice" selection that my daughter gave me for Christmas on Tuesday. It's an unbranded laguiole that she bought in Toledo, Spain and has been saving for at least 1.5 years.

That's a pretty cool knife, GT, and the provenance makes it even more special.

D Duckdog , Stuart, I hope you never reach the last box of your amazing inheritance. If you ever have a dispersal sale, please reserve a place for me in the front row. Thanks for sharing them with us, and thanks for your insightful posts.

Thank you, Leslie, and back at ya.

And now, for something completely different:

Now, that's a worthy looking worker. Good job, r8shell.

I'm sticking with these two today :) Have a great Sunday folks

That's a potent pairing, Jack.

One of my favorites.

That's very understandable, Alan.

The poor lighting doesn’t do it justice, but this Stratocaster body is being sprayed in my rendition of the old DuPont automotive color, seafoam green.
Think of a ‘57 Bel Air in this color with a white hardtop - that’s the look I’m going for.
But for now, time to get out the door, barlow in pocket, for the final church meeting of 2018.

I remember sea foam green an it is lovely, as is that old barlow, Jeff. Great pics, and I, too, would like to see the finished Strat.

Today, I'm totin' a knife that has been in my pocket or at hand since Christmas. It is special to me because it was a gift from my next-door neighbor (and fishing/hunting buddy of 25+ years) who, as of recently, gives me a Case knife each Christmas. He picks them up from our local old-school hardware store, which has a modest supply of Case knives. I have posted about my affection for toothpicks and slim trappers and, like magic, this Case #048 is what he presented to me. At 4 1/8", it rides easily in my pocket. It arrived scalpel sharp. Since I have quite a few jigged bone Cases, I appreciate the workman-ready jigged Delrin covers on this baby.

Congratulations, sounds like you have a great pal there

Thanks Stuart! :) I’ve decided to stop using the term “Cull” when describing my 35 Sambar. I really like the Churchill pattern and I’ve come to realize that using that term might be showing disrespect!

Today I carrying my 2015 Tidioute 73 OO Scout. :) A knife which I have a great fondness for, but one that I have neglected it in my rotation lately! :) In accompaniment is my seldom neglected 2018 Ebony Guardian Lambsfoot! :D

I've had this Winchester Black Box half-whittler (2935) for a couple of months but I only oiled it and put it away. I decided to carry it to church today and it is pretty nice. The secondary is, however, too stout for me to really manage. The main is I would guess a 4 or so on "most people's" scale (which is okay by me).

One of mine too and I'm fortunate to have my own one and won it here in a GAW

Drop-Point just made for this frame, and quite a few others ;)

Thanks for showing it Alan, excellent knife and the photo shows it to great effect:thumbsup:

Very nice duo, Will!

Thanks Lance! The Drop-Point is a user now and patinated, but the Clip/Jack is still pristine, has some grand Stag slabs but a massive 8.9 pull on both blades

Thanks Will. The proportions look so good to me. I still don't know why GEC hasn't chosen to run them again. You won yours in a GAW? Mine's never leaving. Happy New Year!
