@SteveC Another beauty Steve! That bone...

D Duckdog Stuart you’re not messin’ around today. That’s a serious looking blade and the covers are gorgeous and so perfectly matched.

How much snow did you get my friend? ;)

I’m Totin a Skinner and a Stag. Hope everyone is warm and dry! :D

We are supposed to get 4"-7", but so far, just a dusting. I talked Miss Norma into driving 25 miles with me to see a Labrador Retriever Rescue event in hopes of a new duck dog. It was cancelled due to snow!! Well, that's good, as I don't want a Lab that can't stand cold and snow anyway. I have two of our fireplaces blazing right now (I could forge horseshoes). That's a very fine gunstock, Ron. Skinned a 'possum, yet?

Todays carry is a Case Sowbelly

What a handsome knife!

I haven’t had a rabbit hound in years. I just walk and watch. I do miss hearing the dogs run.

I posted this last season and it's all I have to keep me happy until this coming season.

4.25 inch Trapper with vintage micarta by John Lloyd. This knife packs a huge blade but is incredibly light.

Boy, that one grabbed my attention by the throat! That's a fine looking knife, ready for work.

Late posting today, but I'm having a Double Lambsfoot Day ;)

A striking pair, Jack. Lovely.

The 881 Schrade and Victorinox small Tinker as I touch up the edge on the 34OT and the Camillus Barlow

I agree with Jeff - that's a crowd of classics.

Carrying my newest acquisition

Impressive iconic Imperial, Steve. You're not missing a step.

I don’t know the history of this knife-I picked it up at a gun show.

What a fabulous find! Thanks for sharing.

That's a pocket full of candy right there, Paul. Sweet stag.

I'll leave it at WOW!

Thanks, guys. It is built like a moose and I think it could quarter one pretty well. The blade has plenty of spine and is scalpel sharp.

That’s a great looking Lloyd Sowbelly you have there. That’s a first for me here seeing a knife displayed on a 1-2-3 block! :)

Stuart you probably saved some money and aggravation by not getting a Lab that doesn’t like cold weather! No Possum skinning yet! :p I bet that box of hounds would love to be out in the cold and snow!

When I think you can't do a better one... You do. What did they know back then that's been lost??????????

Thank you very much John, it has popcorn on the pile side
Thats a magnificent knife Jack!

Wonderful pic of some fantastic scales.

Our first of many snowflakes are starting to fall, so I was lucky to get outside for a knife picture when I did. I'm totin' another Wiman today: a lockback hunter, 4.25" closed, 7.5" open.
My goodness Stuart, that is one fine chunk of finesse! Your treasure trove has no bottom.

Yeah, I hate all of these plastic bottles, whether it's for aftershave lotion, whiskey, soda, ketchup, etc.
Tres Flores liquid brilliantine still comes in a bottle but they put a "child proof" cap on it. Almost impossible to open! #*@&$* lawyers! ;)
I agree on the plastic bottle thing, glass is just as recyclable, and if even discarded into the environment it will eventually break down into pretty much sand again.

I bet that box of hounds would love to be out in the cold and snow!

Thanks, Stuart! Love the pups when I was a teen I adopted a black and tan Coonhound he rode shotgun in my 57 Chev like a pro.:p

We sometimes run three packs of small beagles and it is like the best gospel choir that you could imagine. A 20 gauge, a cigar, and a field chair - and then they HIT. Up and away! It's like golf with guns. Much more genteel than the coon hunting that I did as a kid. BTW, Dave, I "temporarily" adopted a Black/Tan that I found in the field while deer hunting. I guess he didn't hunt hard enough. Brought him home and put him on out upper back deck until I could tell Miss Norma. For one of the few times in our time there, a sow coon was up the Tulip Poplar that comes up through the deck. Hound saw the coon and the ensuing bawling sealed his fate. He was soon adopted under the name, Jethro.

My goodness Stuart, that is one fine chunk of finesse! Your treasure trove has no bottom.

I'm getting to the bottom, I think, Dwight. You may see more re-runs. We'll see.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend, and that y'all have a relaxing Sunday :) I'm carrying these two, an A.Wright & Son Lambsfoot (Big 'Un) in antique ivory, and a vintage Kent Fish Knife @r8shell recently gifted me
