What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Today again with the GEC # 83 in 440C and still the Portuguese with scrimshaw...

All three are tip-top knives, Dean, even if only one explicitly states the fact!:thumbsup::cool:

Thank you, Gary.

I like the look of your Cracker Jack Lambsfoot (imagine getting that as your prize in the box!).

Thought I'd try something different this week.
Only an Opinel #8 "Carbone" and on the keyring, the required SAK Signature for the pen and scissors.

I do feel a bit under-dressed with just one knife in my pocket and none on my belt ...
How do you guys that habitially only carry one knife at a time stand it?!?
(That is not a rehtorical question. I really would like to know. I haven't carried just one since I was 7 or 8.)

So I am going to give you a quick lesson on how to use the word “eh”. It is so simple to use and anyone can do it.

All you have to do is make a statement like “It is a very nice day out today.” If you add “eh” to the end of that statement, you can turn it into a question that will require a friendly reply from the person you are talking to.

For example…”It is very nice day out today eh?” To which the other person will reply “Yes it is.” See how easy it is?

Now before coming to Canada, you can practice your use of the word “eh” and fit right in once you get here.

Yeah, but it’s hard to take grammar tips from someone who buys their milk in a bag, eh?:D

In a groove, on a roll, not changing horse mid stream, not fixin if it aint broke... same two as yesterdayView attachment 1053820

Still playing catch-up with the highest-volume thread on The Porch; most of what I quote below is from Friday and Saturday. Those were the days!

Thanks for the kindness, Dwight. :) Couple of notable pairs for you!:cool::thumbsup: No whale on the tang stamp of your Richartz? That Carhartt peanut is cool, with its "snakeskin" covers! ;)

...Hmmmmm ..... don't think I have carried that Winchester and Remington together, thanks for the inspiration for tomorrows carry :D

I know it is Black Friday, but we are supposed to get sleet, then ice, then anywhere from 8 to 12 inches of snow. I am carrying these as they should be easy to find if I drop them :). Happy Friday!

I’ve got these two with me today. I probably won’t need either as I am stuck inside with 10 inches of snow on the ground, but they are good company :).

Don't mention it, Tom; "Inspiration" is my middle name. :p Sounds like you've got a good excuse for carrying that colorful pair!:cool::thumbsup: And it looks like both you and the meteorologists reliably predicted what would happen; I hope the snow isn't too disruptive of life as we know it.

I have wanted to check out the Case sodbuster jr. for a while. Carrying this unassuming yeller today.

Hey~ I like your sig line. So very true, and words to live by.
I'm with you on Randy's sig, Jeff.:thumbsup::cool: I think that's one of the first things I noticed about Randy's posts when I came here, and I'm glad he brought it back after a brief hiatus! :)

GEC #78 in Black Micarta
I'm excited to finally find a "larger" knife that is very watch pocket friendly. This one is becoming a regular weekend carry.

Hey GEC... Can we get one of these with a clip blade some day???
That fairly recent GEC #78 run seems like kind of an instant classic; yours sure looks like a keeper, John!:thumbsup::thumbsup: (Especially with the spear IMHO ;))

Sticking with these all weekend:

My goodness, that knife certainly suggests that it's better to post a stag candle-end than to curse the darkness, Jack! ;):cool::cool:

Our first of many snowflakes are starting to fall, so I was lucky to get outside for a knife picture when I did. I'm totin' another Wiman today: a lockback hunter, 4.25" closed, 7.5" open.

You've been posting some lovely little lockbacks lately, Stuart!!:thumbsup:;) (I saw in a later post that you've moved from "the first" to the "many" on the snowflake count; stay safe out there.)

Happy to oblige. I don’t know the history of this knife-I picked it up at a gun show.
