Thanks ....Doug and Sitflyer

You two have been posting some beauties yourself, especially the Remington sleeveboard pen and the GEC easy open.

Today my GEC #66 Serpentine Jack and the modded Opinel #8 was with me :)

Inspired by your beautiful Robeson, I have this old Camillus equal end with me today. I really need to take some outside shots with it to show the brown better, but with Beryl passing by this morning, it is just a bit too wet outside for photography.

That old equal end is....eye candy! I have one equal end jack, made by Imperial with copper celluloid , and I think it will get some pocket time today.

The tomatoes need a little thinning out anyway. Yes take some outside pictures ..ah Carolina...I can see the sunshine

Nice Imperial!

Beryl has passed us by on her way back out to sea, so I was able to snap a couple during lunch. Not the clearest shots, but they do show the brown bone scales in more natural light.

A couple weeks ago I cut out a piece of what I think is mulberry burl. I cut out a piece to play with. The core of this huge burl is ELECTRIC yellow and golden hues shooting out like intense strikes of lightning. While whittling on the little piece to see what I would find in the grain I was ending up with close to nothing. I decided my 85 needed a little contrast to the ebony. Making a bead without a mini lathe was harder than I expected. Don't let the photo fool you, this wood polished like GLASS and you can see into it to a great depth. Kind of cool stuff on the bead with a hint of the yellow core on one end and the rest creams and pearl whites.

Anyhow, I am still carrying this one :)

Been EDC'ing this Boker Canoe for a couple of days. She's a 'plain Jane' nothing to look at, but somehow it seems to get in to the rotation every now and again.
