What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I'm carrying this Craftsman Peanut today. It's a sweet little fellow...
...
Definitely a tasty Peanut, Ed!:thumbsup::cool:

So many knives...I'll need more time, money, determination, and luck :D ...
Great BF sig line, Gev!:cool::thumbsup: If I use it, what's your fee for royalties?? :D

Dee-lectable pair!!! :eek::eek::thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Thanks Gary and it’s a #43 my friend! :thumbsup::D
Thanks for helping me work on my knife ID skills, Ron. ;):cool: At least I got ONE digit correct!

That is one confused little knife. Lol
:D Yeah, I think my wife got that for me for Christmas one year, probably at Sears, even though I didn't even carry a knife at the time. It came in a canvas/nylon belt pouch holding 6 tools: flashlight, 2 different sizes of SAK clones, 2 sizes of Leatherman knock-offs, and the first "tactical" knife I had ever seen!

5K Qs 5K Qs I would not want to mess with an Ostrogoth!
Yeah, I tend to avoid Goths of ALL varieties, Joshua! ;)

Has the lighter parts of your stag turned darker or more golden with time, Vince? Looks great!:thumbsup::thumbsup: (And thanks for the language lesson. :))

Thank you, Tom.
Great pair of knives, it looks like you are ready for just about anything. I always enjoy seeing that AGR scout of yours.
...
Thank you, sir.
Enjoyed your comments about the many posts you quoted, FBC!:) Careful - it can be addictive! :p

Surely you can't be serious!
I'm not going to let this one pass...

Vince and Kevin, you guys should be on the television!! :D:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

This is a beautiful knife! Schatt & Morgan Medium Coke Bottle with lightning wood covers.
...
Outstanding!:cool::thumbsup: Covers are from a tree struck by lightning? (Like The Natural's bat, Wonder Boy?) What sort of tree?

...
Carrying these two today, my 2018 Guardians Lambsfoot in ebony for Black Friday, and my Wheatley Brothers Tackler's Knife for Old Friends Friday :)...

The Prince and the Pauper! :D

Jack & Ron, both of you chose provocative pairs!:thumbsup::cool:

I guess I need to work on my mental gymnastics. Thanks for the translation.
Don't mention it. :) Sometimes my comments are mental gymnastics for me, especially if circumstances have prevented me from getting the regular physical exercise I crave.

Bring your Dwight Divine BSA scout to work day...

Those are gorgeous RR knives, Gary. You have an eye for attractive bone.

Very nice, Kevin. I like the Dwight Devine ones so well, I have two.
...
Thank you, Gary! You have another two beautiful ones today.:thumbsup:
Kevin & Dean, your Devine scout knives are definitely divine!:cool::thumbsup:
Thanks for the kind words, Dean. :) I really don't know what kind of bone I'll get from RR until the knife arrives (although if I find something I like, I'm quite confident that other knives with the same cover material will also be pleasing).

GT tends to be the squirreliest ! ;)

Hey! I resemble that remark!

Thank you, I was also the first I saw in cork, but it is very soft in the hands...
Yes, it seems like it would feel very good as a handle.:thumbsup::thumbsup: Please let us know how you like it after using it for a while.

Only had this for a week or so and its already earned a nickname. For some reason I can't get the old Ray Peterson song out of my head. Remember "Patina, Patina" hahahahaha.

That knife really "get's my motor runnin'", Alan. (I know the song you referenced as a slow blues number by Steppenwolf. ;))

Thanks Jack. Alan @joeradza included that beautiful seashell when he shipped me my knife. I now keep the shell in my knife display cabinet, it's amazing to look at.

I like the knife displays you have, John!:cool::cool: Does their capacity determine the size of your collection?

SW #856 today
...
This Ulster stockman with punch today.
...
Some more pics from the archives of the old case pen. These pics are 10 years old.
...
Steve, Mark, Gev, & Ted, thanks so much for posting those vibrant, voluptuous, vintage knives!! What a quartet!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Very nice stag on that Colt, Gary!
Thanks, Jeff. :) Colt released several stag patterns a few years ago, and I thought the stag was excellent for $20 knives.:thumbsup:

Ya GT, the #66's main blade is right at 2-1/2". It's really more out of respect for the law than something I really have to worry about getting in trouble for. I'm just a "rule follower".
Thanks for the follow-up, John. Often a link between "rule follower" and "role model".;)

I'm totin' these two old friends today, both Robeson: the strawberry bone is from 1948-1959 and the brown is from 1940-1964.

- Stuart
Sensational pair, for shur, Stuart!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Case old red Teardrop.
...
Striking knife, Dean! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

I decided to carry one of my several Bulldog Canoes today, this one in "oyster"...
Ed J
Such an exemplary canoe, Ed!!:cool::thumbsup: Single spring model? About when was it made?

Thank you Mr. Gary, yes I have very good knives, but I would like to have many more, that would only be possible if I were in the United States of America.
Here in Portugal it is very difficult and expensive to buy knives outside the European Union, I returned a knife because the Customs wanted me to pay € 76.00, after having paid € 60.00 to the seller, this is unbearable and greatly increases the cost of the knife...
Beautiful knives Mr. Gary...;)
Thanks, Senhor José. :)
Sorry to hear about the extremely high customs charges for knives from outside the EU!:( (I wonder if the recent "trade wars" with China will affect US prices for Chinese-made knives.)

Couple of "free choice" knives this week include a Colonial electrician with some kind of white covers, and a Providence Cutlery fish knife I recently acquired:

Thanks, Gary.
I am not sure if it has turned darker or not. If it has, it has been gradually, of course. Not always easy to tell with photographs because of different lighting. I have handled it a lot, though.

That's a fine looking knife for sure. Gotta ask though,is it the one that bit yao_O:p
Ha, yes the dreaded band-aid pic, so common here in our neck of the woods (bladeforums that is) Actually David it was my 66 Stockman in Desert Ironwood. I had just finished stropping and while watching TV, I closed the main Clip and failed to remove the tip of my ring finger from the closing path:eek:

Nanc was on the couch so I got out of my recliner, hand held up so the blood would gather in my palm and not drip on the carpet, walked down stairs, turned the facet on cold, rinsed the very clean cut wound, opened the band-aid with one hand, a skill acquired over the years, dried my hand, applied the band-aid returned upstairs and Nanc was none the wiser;):p

Well done Paul :D Over here, Band-Aids have gotten harder to open than they used to be, when you just pulled a thread o_O

Morning folks, have a super Sunday :)

Carrying these two today

Yes, it is a single spring model. I cleaned it up since I posted it and will be carrying it again today. I have to keep it quarantined when I'm not carrying it because it has cell covers. It's a shame really because the knife itself is really nice; superb at slicing and general carry duty. It was made in 1998. I have 2-4 more of them with various covers; none of the others seem to be out-gassing like this one. They ride in the pocket so nice.
