What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Field across the road is holding a bit of water. 70F and pouring this morning. Supposed to get down to 20F tonight. Winter...not a fan.

Good job of cleaning it up.
Thank you, the back side is not quite as cleaned up as the presentation side.

Well done on the cleanup. I have a couple of 899's just like yours with that elegantly shaped spey. The 899 is as slim as a slim stockman gets. Later models had a sheepsfoot instead of the spey, none of those had bone handles though.
Thanks! I have a second 899 I bought as NOS still in the original tube. That one I will not be carrying.

Had this in my pocket since 5:00 A.M. today when I had to get up because the electric went off . Our sump pump is running and we must have electric for that or have a flooded basement . The Emergency Sump Pump also failed . That is why we have a generator on hand and we got it all taken care of . Flooding averted .

I know I wrote yesterday that I wouldn't comment on posts from any of the days I fell so far behind, but there were three posts that I can't stop thinking about.

I sent Charlie Bell a pair of Amber Culpepper Jigged Bone slabs and asked him to make a Sowbelly for me. I really like what he came up with. Excellent fit and finish, and what a swedge!
Leslie, the smooth profile of your closed sowbelly is absolutely sensational!!:cool::cool::thumbsup:

...@Ramrodmb The Saynor is 3 7/8” and here’s a pic of the other side.
Nick, congrats on the outstanding Saynor!:cool::thumbsup: What does the tang stamp on the secondary blade say? DEPEN???

Gev, what's the tale of the tree? Is that the natural result of standing up to prevailing westerly winds that never stop??

Congrats, Taylor!! I'd say you won the 2019 Guardians ironwood lottery! :D:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Marvelous cutlery, Gary. I especially dig that stag Mohawk!
I agree with Vince, the stag canoe is a gem.
Thanks, Vince and John. :) I totally agree with your assessment - it may be my favorite canoe!

For Thursday, my primary tote will be my navaja Albaceteña with polished stag:

So sleek, so smooth, so elegant! From @ArtesaniaHerreros.
Your ciervo navaja is top-notch, Vince!:cool::thumbsup: Will you soon be getting a suit of lights? THAT would be cool, sleek, smooth, and elegant, in spades!!!

My bailed non-SAK this week is a Camillus electrician knife. It's a humble working knife, but the black covers with silver accents make me think it's one of my "dressiest" knives.

Dave, I wanted you to leave room for the chocolate so I went with LITE !;)

I'm thinking Rob was considering maybe I should go lite for the start of the new year then get the hardcore Spam. :p:D

Vince, I don't understand why they don't make yogurt with chunks of spam in the bottom

Hit the Hay Harry, you've had a long day my friend. We have a main and battery back up sump pump and a generator outside just in case. All that and I still keep an eye out for unexpected issues. Always a beautiful TEW:thumbsup:

Great quartet of knives this week, especially the two black ones.

I love those ebony 15s!

I had a lot of cassettes at one time, and a lot of LPs. 45s too. All gone now and mostly replaced with CDs. I wonder how many would have cassettes to post? Or 8-tracks?

Oh, I have a bunch of cassettes ! haha
those 15's a great little knives! That one doesn't get carried a lot right now due to it being a little on the small size for me. I'm on a 3 7/8" - 4' with a clip blade kick right now. Heck, that could change next week though. :D

Totin' this Winchester whittler today.
