Gorgeous knife, Paul. Sorry about the snow. Dealing with 78 feels like 82 right now. :)

I gave the Case a good cleaning, oiling, and sharpening for a friend. I’m going to have to slap him and tell him to take better care of his stuff.

It reminded me of the Buck 505 that I got when I was 10 so I grabbed that. I got it at a farm supply store when shopping with my Grandma. The display model was pretty spot on so we didn’t check the one in the box until we got home. It was never sharpened. It had a perfectly flat edge, no grind whatsoever. I was determined to get it sharp so I could carry and use it on the farm and wouldn’t let my grandparents return it. I’m surprised there wasn’t more blade loss than that :D

I had such a productive day yesterday that I could take today and tomorrow off while waiting for the subs to get out of my way on the kitchen remodel I'm doing. SO - had a chance for a home project today. More on that when all is dry and assembled ;) but as I was carrying and using my "smalls" I thought I could post my "totin'" pair today -

Top one is a Case 63090 Stockman - a little guy at at 3 3/8".

The bottom one though is even littler - a BEAR MGC Stag Lock back mini measuring at 3-3/4" open - just a tad longer than the folded Stockman. The blade is about 1-1/2" along the cutting edge.

Most of the time it is too mini to be useful but I keep it sharp and it carries so easily that I never, ever need to be without a knife.
