What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I amend this statement. The TL-29 has a 4-line tang stamp, steel liners and steel center center scale. It could likely be WW2 as well.

That would be my guess as well.
Gonna have to try to find a timeline on Cam’s TL29 production.
Both of my old ones, one in Rogers bone, and today’s carry in coco, have steel liners which I think indicates WWII production because brass was needed for ammo.

After all it is Wednesday! :D

Incredible...wow !!

Yes I see that in your avatar! I can’t pick a favorite, I tried, just too many cutlery companies that made good knives in the early days. But yes, Schrade is definitely one of the greatest! Here’s a Camillus I love that I’m toting today.
What a beauty, the warm jigged bone, years old gray patina, awesome shield, threaded bolsters with earned character:cool::cool::cool:

I too came from the modern side about a year ago, it would be interesting to hear what brings some of us back to the traditional.
For me, it started out of curiosity. I still love the moderns, but as I saw so many examples of beautiful traditionals, and gleaned the collective wisdom from the many members here, and bought a couple, I was hooked.

@Jack Black Thank you.

@all - so many fine looking knives. I’m blown away.

"Simply Irresistible" :thumbsup::D

Thanks, Dave. Now I have Robert Palmer stuck in my head... :D

Yeah, I would have to agree, Paul. Jack and the folks at Wrights have really outdone themselves.

After all it is Wednesday! :D

Stunning, Ron! Two exceptional beauties right there.

I’ve been hunting this one down for sometime. As all the experienced Porch Members counsel Traditionals newbies like myself: “Patience, Grasshopper.”

I've been on the casual lookout for a Washington Jack for awhile now too, particularly one in ebony or that stellar smooth red bone. You got yourself an excellent one! Even better with the punch.

Well, it is indeed Wooden Wednesday and since Ironwood seems to be the flavor of the season, I have a couple of those to show off.

That is truly beautiful.

paulhilborn paulhilborn Thank you Paul. What you said is exactly how I feel about this knife. Something about an old and well loved knife hits just the spot for me. I think this oldie probably looks better now than it was a young’un with the mileage and earned character. Buzzbait Buzzbait Thank you sir!
