What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

1970 case swell end jack. It's a monster with a very strong back spring but i still love it. I have wanted one for a long time.

That is the man I am named after, my grandfather, unfortunately I never met him he died when my father was 19, everyone that knew him says we have the same personality, smile and eyes. My grandmother is turning 91 ( and still works) and I am trying to collect as much family history as I can.

I'm carrying one of my favorite patterns, the slimline trapper. A Case CV in very traditional yellow.

It has a tribute feel to your photograph and had me wondering. Thank you sir. Happy Birthday to your Grandmother!

Here is another Gevonovoch: grandmother, father, and grandfather

My grandmother is a tuff old broad, when she was 89 two punks mugged her, she fought with them got two black eyes and thrown to the ground, I would give anything to meet up with those two cowards.

My wife and I were in Munich for the last day. We had a great time there - visiting a friend of mine. We drank a lot of beer and booze ;)

I´m really happy, being back in the outback at my hometown - I don´t like big cities and Munich is much too big for me...

I had a GEC #66 Serpentine Jack and a Case Peanut with me...

I've found myself carrying this one every day for a while now:

(More direct lighting brings out the gold in Autumn Gold. :))

However, this week end I've also been carrying this Mini Trapper, recently arrived:

It's on the heavier side of what I'd want in my pocket most days, but fits well in the side (ruler? pliers?) pocket of carpenter jeans. Besides, it's blue.

Andi is without his Sunday Moose, and I switched up today as well.

Instead of the Wadsworth in my suit pants this morning, I had the Remington sleeveboard pen. I'll keep this one and add the small stockman, now that I'm home and dressed more casually.

That Rem is exceptional! Is that real tortoise? Very nicely proportioned knife, thanks for showing it.

Regards, Will

Got a new boker hybrid stockman. Made in Germany for 30$. Good work knife, wonder if as good as the originals?

This weekend my family was at a camping outing for a group called Families with Children from China (FCC) a stone's throw from my house in Southern New Jersey. We had a great time ( and were able to scoot home and get real showers and sleep in our comfy beds - my back appreciates it. )
Took an old Imperial with clip-on, vinyl-wrapped scales, and although some wouldn't consider carrying it, it did everything required- sharpened a few smores sticks and showed my five-year old boy how to whittle a harpoon for pursuing 18 inch whales. He was fascinated. I can't wait to buy a knife for him when he joins Cub Scouts at 7.

Thank you Will. No, it is not real tortoise. It is a tortoise colored celluloid. I bought it sight unseen (except for pictures), thinking it had a similar thin profile as my Wadsworth sleeveboard. It does not. But even though it is thicker it is still an easy carry. As you say, nicely proportioned.

Vanguard, I love your Remington -- what gorgeous bone scales, and that shape is among my favorites!

Still stockman month. Today I carried one of my favorites, this Camillus made Remington. Has the 0170-6C alloy steel blades and the blades are wider than those of many stockman knives. I like the wider clip especially.
