What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

After posting my carry knife for the day (Today at 5:05 AM #135486), this happened.

Does it ever snow in Arizona?

Apparently it does!

To @paulhilborn @Old Engineer --- I tend to like my crow sauteed in butter. ;)

Jack, who would have thought a set of bigun piano keys could be so beautiful! :D

That’s a great knife and photo Travman! As Lyle would say I can almost hear the Roosters crowing for the Farmers! :)

I managed to take this photo and only get a couple of rain drop on the knives. That wasn’t easy considering the 7 straight days of rainy weather here! A stag Winchester Half Whittler and an Ironwood Lambsfoot for me today. :)

Today, I am posting a picture of several items that, although individually important to me, collectively composed tell a deeper story. The signet ring, hand engraved by our local jeweler right before he retired, was given to me by my mother on my graduation from high school. The pen and engraved money clip were given to me by her upon my graduation from college. My wife gave me the wedding band 40 years ago this summer. The knife and watch were given to me by my stepfather, who got me into this knife addiction. Today would have been his 96th birthday.

A great post my friend! Your stepfather certainly knew his knives as the old saying goes! :)

I have one of these Diamond Radio Jacks in blood red as well and their beautiful proportions and colors always mesmerize me. One of GEC’s all time best. Thanks for posting your beauty.
Agreed! In my opinion the radio and harness jacks were some of the best GEC ever put together on the #15 frame

I’ve got a Madison in Cocobolo. It a great knife, the only flaw being some blade rap but a small piece of rubber in the blade well has remedied that. No fault of the knife, but it’s a bit too big for my taste. Perfect in use but too big in my pocket so I rarely carry it.
I find it odd which knives end up sitting in stock sometimes. It usually seems to be the ones ppl beg for on here. Perhaps that’s why GEC just puts out what they feel like rather than what ppl ask for on here? Their idea of what we want/need seems to be more accurate than ours, lol! A couple examples that come to mind are the 43, guys were asking for something bigger yet still on shelves. They ask for stainless yet Dogpaw knives had stainless 33’s from 2010 that only sold out as they shut down. And you can still find beerscouts if you look around.
Oh, and got my Gec#13 whittler in pocket right now.

Just grabbed my 33 dogpaw to put in my pocket and noticed it’s 2011 not 2010, oops. Not that it matters for the point I was making but I’m shocked no one called me on the error, lol!
Also I’m pretty sure I saw a Stainless 74 over on the same site that has the beerscout and glass sets, (they’ve been mentioned but I didn’t see them on the list, maybe I missed it but I’ll leave out the name, it’s not hard to google it) and it or they have been on there for weeks yet I’ve read posts saying they’d buy anything in stainless from GEC..?
