Fantastic fixed blade Jack!

Hope you get to feeling better. I had a touch of it a couple of weeks ago and really hate being stuck in the house.

Feel better soon.

Thanks for the well wishes, gents!
Just gazing at your photos helps.

Beautiful Gary :)

Thanks, Jack! Looks like a good day for a hike there.
It's snowing again here so it'll be a treadmill hike for me. Maybe some cross-country skiing tomorrow.

Have a great weekend!

Thanks Gary, the forecast wasn't great, but it turned out a pretty nice day :) I've never skied, reckon I'm a bit too old to learn - and I probably live in the wrong country! :D

A fantastic old Shapleigh Diamond Edge Jack with caplifter. Made by Schrade in the 30's with well worn peachseed covers. Solid blades with lifelong patina. Was fortunate to buy this one from Eric:thumbsup:

A very nice one there. I have blade envy!
Love the caplifters. I just ordered a Case mini trapper with caplifter in patriotic kirinite today.

Well, I got tired of waiting for my 2018 Forum knife to come back to me from Buck warranty, so I finally pulled the trigger on this little beauty I'd been watching at SK for a while to get me through. First impressions are overall good, lock up is tight with no play, pull is pretty light, but still with a little snap at full open and close. Love the blade style, and its plenty sharp enough out of the box till I get around to stropping it. Feels good in the hand, size is just right for a solid grip. And of course, the same nice steel as on the forum 301.

Thank you Jack. Love that stout fixed blade.

I picked out this folder by the late J.M. "Mickey" Maddox to tote today. Mr. Maddox, of Ringgold, GA, learned to make knives from Ron Little and purchased some of Mr. Little's equipment and materials when he passed in 1977. I believe that this knife was made in the 1980's. Mr. Maddox died on December 5, 2015 at 89 years old. Well, I went outside to get a good picture of the knife only to find that we'd just had a cold drizzle and my intended photo prop, an upstanding ash log, was wet. Off came my shirt to protect the knife. Now, I was freezing and my hands were like butterfly wings holding the cell phone/camera. So much for photographic genius.

Edited to correct tree species from oak to ash.

Mickey is still alive and is my friend. I’m sure he would be disappointed to hear that he has passed away. Unless you think he has a doppelgänger. If you would like to speak with him, please contact me. I am also a collector. I would very much be interested in talking with you.

I haven't carried this one in a while so it's getting some pocket time today !

Some amazing knives today, guys!

Lots of great knives posted today! I hope all who are fight’n sicknesses prevail.
Thissun helped weedeat and mow.... 3+hrs in the watchpocket(picture taken at the start), cut some weed eater line. Pepper spots have started forming from the humidity and sweat, as to be expected. The industrial grade weedeater line is now scared of the wharncliff though..... also to be expected.
