What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Currently quite smitten with this one. I was pretty unsure how I'd like it as I felt the size could be both a positive and a negative. But I'm starting to really enjoy it and the Stockman pattern in general.

That's a nice one. What size? Got a Buck 301 stockman in my pocket now. My measuring tape says 3 & 15/16". Good size.

Prester John Prester John 4.25" long. I actually just took a bunch of measurements of it for a recent inquiry. Pics here: https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/case-large-stockman-belt-sheath.1646723/page-2

I said to heck with it and just tossed it into my right front jeans pocket with the other stuff that normally lives there. And so far, it hasn't bothered me. Maybe it's all that time carrying a Spyderco Manix 2LW, but the size and weight haven't been an issue. I'm still thinking about a belt sheath but I'm going to keep trying this out for a bit first.

Beautiful... That's got character...
Metallic Monday? Why not? A Geo. Wostenholm pruner in brass and a brassy metallic celluloid (?) Imperial single blade pen (with ball bearing opening lock) that dates around 1939-1942 (according to the patent numbers).

just a perfect shade of warmth on that handle

Those aren’t edible, are they, OH?
Fun on light tackle, either way!

From my point of view Shad are not edible - however, some people do eat them. I don't eat Shad because of the bones - frying is the only way to get around it (fried hard as potato chips to soften the bones) and I try to eat healthier than that. I fish them catch and release, as they are the first fish to show after the winter slow down. Shad are sort of like dove is to hunting, they are the ceremonial kick off of the spring fishing season. They are referred to around here as poor man's Tarpon - giving some great tailwalking fights for a small fish (12-15" typical for a Hickory Shad). They also make great bait fish. OH

Toting one of my favorites today, a HSB wharncliffe pen
What fabulous covers on that jewel.

An Ontario Rat (made by Queen) Railsplitter with Rams horn covers and D2 blades. An exceptional knife, Solid Blades with no blade rub, pinned shield and AMAZING f&f. Add, pinch, slanted and threaded bolsters that just make this a stellar knife:cool::thumbsup: This is #125 of 500.
Very interesting knife Paul.

Beautiful navaja... especially photographed by yourself
Thank you.

Still smitten with the Moki
You may be forever smitten with that treasure. :)
