• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

This is what I was toting most this past week:

But I convinced the surgeon to let me come home yesterday, so I can participate in Stagurday observance with this guy:

Nice choice, Â!! I was just looking over my small collection of those Navy knives last night!
It's such a great creation by Bill at GEC!! When we are all very old, that knife will still be fresh and interesting!! And useful!!:)

I fully agree :)
But more, for me the knives don't cut, they link people. And this one proves it.:D

Yikes!! Glad that you are returned home and I join the chorus of best wishes for a full recovery. It's great to see your posts again, and I like to say, "It's better to be seen than to be viewed."

Imperial Cattle knife today

That is nice, Steve.

Well one I KNOW is stag, the other is called "second cut stag". Which I suspect is a Parkerism for jigged and torched muscle bone, lol.

Both are fine, David. I think that your surmise about the covers of the sowbelly is correct, but I think that it looks about right. A handsome package.

A little Krein B&T in stag bone and CPM-D2.

That Krein is krazy klassy, Gary. A sublime little sporting knife.

Beautiful bone on both of those, Stuart.:thumbsup:

Thanks, Dean.

Playing around with these 2 today

Those are sweet!

Stuart that’s a beautiful Miller Brothers my friend! I know for a fact that ole boy that has it now cherishes it dearly! ;)

I’m pairing up two C’s today. A Case Copperlock and a Camillus Cattleknife. Both of these are souvenirs from our trip to the Badger Knife Show at Janesville Wisconsin. :)

Camillus sure knew how to jig bone, didn't they? Nice piece

Nice scales on the Proper  Did you make 'em?

Today’s carry is also my newest addition, a NOS Imperial Frontier stockman (4432) from 1977.

This was a nostalgic purchase for me, as my paternal grandfather gave me a version of this knife (an Imperial Diamond Edge) for Christmas in the mid/late 70s, and that was the knife I carried all through high school. I’m enjoying having this in my pocket; it brings back some very fond memories.

A Schatt and Morgan single spear Barlow? When advertised it was listed as a Barlow and I can KIND of see how they reached that conclusion. Longer than normal bolster, but not as long as what I consider a Barlow bolster:confused:

That said, Queen did nail this one. Centered and solid carbon blade, GORGEOUS burnt Stag covers and a really nice threaded bolster:cool: I added the EO notch on my own and therefore it is truly "My Knife";):)
