What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Robert B.--Great photo--also like the windmill in the background!

LOL thanks, that windmill was in my yard when I bought it...it actually looks a little ratty atm so when it cools down I'm going to put a new bearing in and paint it up nice.

Glad to see it Andi, I've been wanting to see a good patina on that one for a while.

I'm still using my #72, no more new patina, just some from food prep.

Frontier Bone is interesting stuff, has a lot of variations in colour (some even remind me of a Beagle's coat! ) Still yet to get a GEC in this scale though.

Today, CASE Pen in stainless. Thin simple and easy to carry, great knife for taking to the supermarket to trim up veggies before buying. Why pay for all that stump on broccoli or excess leaves on leeks etc ??

I recognize that stump

nice pics, Im tempted by the mini copperhead

if you have a pen knife to put in for size comparison, that would tempt me too

Good eye, Jon. I was not sure which knife you wanted compared to the pen, so here is one of each. The lighting is obviously different from earlier today.

It it was the peanut you wanted to compare with the pen, look here for a couple blade shots I took last night.

Still carrying (and loving) my 85. Not sure why I refinished this thing to perfection when I first worked out the kinks. Lots of character now not very evident in this quick PS shot though.

This followed me to the work again today. It'll be there for a long time.

Does a great job of popping wood ticks in half.

A River Runs Through It

Then in the Arctic half-light of the canyon, all existence fades to a being with my soul and memories and the sounds of the Big Blackfoot River and a four-count rhythm and the hope that a fish will rise.

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs.
I am haunted by waters.

Will, your right about this Frontier stuff, it's weird.
It's changed a lot since I got it and started carrying it, I like it though. I plan on an elephant toe with it sometime.

Kevin, you seriously need to take more pics of that knife.
I love it!!!!

My new adquisition Boker pen knife smooth red bone

See you folks

Nice choice lutejones, got the same knife myself except in something called Honeycomb Bone if recall.

Regards, Will

I'll join Will in admiring your Tree Brand pen, lutejones. I have a Böker USA Tree Brand stockman, and have been increasingly tempted to pick up a Solingen model. Yours looks very nice!

Chestnut bone peanut again for me today, and having seen this lovely pen, I think I'll add my yeller pen to today's carry.

Thank you guys, for me it's very hard to find American made knives here in Spain, a lot easier the German ones.
The problem is finding carbon steel which I love.
I have to go to the auction site but you how it's the deal of buying without touching.
This pen was so beautiful in hand that I had to bring it home with me.
See you around
