What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

11:30 P.M. and just now have the time to review Forums and post . Carried this Case to the YMCA and coffee with our friends .

Then changed out to this Gift from my friend Jeff Amir Fleschwund Amir Fleschwund . A fine old VOOS.

Both are great examples of their jigging and reputable construction, Harry. Yep, Jeff is a fine friend and fine member of the Porch. Nice Voos.

Thanks for the reply. That knife is a wonderful example of simple form and function forming a beautiful result. Thanks for sharing.

Double black, heavy duty users for today. Enjoy your Friday, everyone.

A sturdy and stable set-up, Jeff. True work horses. Be careful, you will break before they do,

#43 today

I'd carry that a while, even bare footed.

Kutmaster, Utica

Stellar, Dwight. Are you @kai76 and SteveC SteveC digging in the same oldie goldie vein.

Stu do you know what kind of wood this is?

I don't, Dwight, but will try to find out. It's another inherited piece, so my knowledge is limited. I seems that it may be spalted.

Mesmerizing and wondrous !

Thanks, Gev.

those are the Case peanut, the Lionsteel Shuffler in ebony, and the most recent Kutmaster Barlow.

All three of those are nice, but that Kutmaster!!!

Taking this 881 along today.

I'd go, too, with that handsome fella.

TGIF, folks!

Fabulous pairing, A good life has many first steps. Some certain, and others not so much.

5K Qs, you could well be right! Handy design with good tools and snappier than the usual SAK. OH

Been pretty busy with work, keeping up with the kids, and maintaining the new property. I have fallen behind keeping up with the forum, mostly checking in on Charlie’s progress.
It happened yesterday (as it does every year), I pulled my Dixie stockman out of my watch pocket after only 2hrs on the baby tractor mowing the yard around the house and.... red rust. Time to switch to stainless for the summer.

D Duckdog ~ Back at you, my friend.
You know, the day’s not complete without hanging out on the porch a bit, in spite of my doubts about a group with such low admission standards that they let me in!;)
Today in my pocket, me good old anchor knife from Lütters & Cie.
Very strong spring and half stops, C85 steel.
It's from the 50ies or 60ies, still with embossed logo on the blade.

Those are wonderful, Nicolas! Are they readily available in Europe?

Lots to do today, get dressed, pick out today’s knives, make coffee...

I invited my inlaws over tomorrow, and my wife will be working today, so I will have to muster up a burst of energy and clean house!
And we are scheduled for a couple of hours at the recording studio, so I have to get ready for that.

I’d really prefer to just putter in my garden, but oh well.
Need more coffee.

My favorite of the two layer SAKs.
I wouldn’t mind getting one of those alox ones, but the added expense and deletion of the tweezers have kept me away so far. They look really nice, though...
Enjoy your Saturday, all!

91°, 40 mph winds made for a very miserable day outdoors, cooled down nicely to 82° with just a mild breeze. On our deck with a 2016 Horse Cut TC and storm clouds to the west:thumbsup:
