What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

My totes today are serendipitous. Those who saw my post in the Beverages and Blades thread on Tuesday know that while rummaging through some of my late stepfather's old boxes, I came upon an old Miller Brothers Sheffield pattern lobster pen (which I will post here once I take it totin'). https://www.bladeforums.com/threads...onal-of-course.1323677/page-323#post-19081020 Spurred by that discovery, I dug some more and found an old wrapped up paper towel under a box. In the wrapping were my totes for today: an Aerial senator pen (1912-1944) in red/black striped celluloid and a Schatt & Morgan (Titusville, PA, 1903-1932) sleeveboard jack in a pink/green marble celluloid. Both sharp as razors.

I may tote these two tomorrow afternoon when I gather with my buddies at our watering hole.

Pretty cool, Stuart.

Superlative couple of selections, Jack!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks pal :)

For Wooden Wednesday, I am continuing my self imposed trend; Lamb and Barlow in Ebony and Dyed Curly Maple. It was difficult to capture the figuring in the Curly Maple but I think I got a good shot of the pile side, such wonderful chatoyence.

Terrific Twosome Jose :)

Yesterday I mentioned that 6 of my knives this week are Rough Riders, and I posted pics of 3 of them. Here are the other 3 RRs I'm carrying all week.
Miscellaneous Knife this week is a RR gunstock (thanks, Barret):

Very nice GT :)

Solid choices, Jack.

...

Well, not as good a start as you seem to be having, Jack. Very well done, indeed.

Thank you Stuart :)

This was my carry crew today: a Jarrett Fleming sheepfoot fixed blade, Daniel Cannady small game fixed blade, and a n A. Wright lambsfoot folder. I toted the Fleming in a sheath on my belt (left side today), the Cannady in a sheath in my LFP, and the Wright in my RFP. Only the Jarrett has gone unused, so far.

Great handful of knives my friend :)

Wooden Wednesday is always nice.

Gorgeous Dave :)

D Duckdog Thanks Stuart! An excellent trio of knives you have; ready for the "woods!" :)

Beautiful photo Stuart, with a good and diverse trio!;)

That little Cannady is fetching.

Diverse trio of knives of the wood persuasion, Stuart!:cool::thumbsup: As always, I'm drawn to the symmetry of that Cannady.

Thanks, guys. It's too bad that I didn't become aware of Mr. Cannady's work until several years after he had passed.

Northwoods Coolidge Jackin jigged cherrywood

Tasty looking toothpick.

I wanted to test the "punch" on this GEC 54 HJ so I paired it up with an "old hand" Keen Kutter HJ :)

I see your point, JJ.

All packed up for a road trip up to South Dakota.

Packed and stacked!!

It may not look it, but a well used mammoth zulu.

Mammoth?? It doesn't look all that big. It does look beautiful, though.

Totin' a Camillus #70 today

A gorgeous old worker there. Steve. All is right with the world again. (I did like the "new" ones that you were posting, too.)

Nice pairing, David, and a fine photo.

Those covers look like red licorice - sweet.

Well done, sir.

Fair enough, though since I’m only 20 I’ve had this thing for almost a 4th if my life so it’s old to me. :) It will stick around forever though, so look out for some pics in a few years ;)

A point well made and sincerely taken. I should have started with, "Welcome to the Porch and thanks for sharing." I do look forward to your contributions and comments. You'll see some special cutlery on these pages and meet some very special folks. And, good golly, we can use some new blood (in a good way, I mean, not literally).

Great finds Stuart, that Aerial is totally cool

Totin' this little city knife today, along with the usual suspects.

Thats a beauty, I love the handles and the blade shape.

Thanks, guys. It really is a nice little knife. I found a sheath that fits it for belt carry. Usually carried it in a pocket sheath, which didn't work out all the time. I think it'll get a lot more mileage when carried on my belt.

It's my solution to the wows that the fixed blade makers in the Exchange elicit from me, on an almost daily basis. I figure it's better for my wallet....
