It sure is a classic! When I think pocketknife this is what always comes to mind. A humble Case 3318 with carbon steel blades and bright edges.

Some healthy new lambs birthed this season, Jack!I'm afraid I've fell hopelessly behind over the past couple of daysCarrying these two today though

Congrats!I carried the Russell barlow at work, but opened up a package when I got home. Had no choice but to switch to the Frontier and Victorinox DAK. They’re both well traveled....

Big knife for a little guy, but it looks like he knows his stuff! My young son toted my Case 6375 to the garden to cut a French cantaloupe from the vine.

You're a sultan of stag, Harry!
Just about everything about that knife is sublime, FBC, including the jigging! That jigging!!!!!

The checkered bone on your 2-blade 78 is enchanting, JJ, and that Robeson looks like some "big iron"!
The top 25s just keep on coming!!
Serious pair, Jeff; that 43 is "family-size"!View attachment 1170668 Tidiute Cutlery 43 Oregon Trapper & Camillus Cutlery Co TL-29View attachment 1170667
True enough!Thank you, GT.
Sometimes, "Same ol' same ol'" is comforting.![]()
Can't fault your choices at all, John!
That experience sounds way less than ideal, Tom!I hope there's not too much swelling (or allergic reactions). At least you have a fine pair of knives to help ease the pain!

It's such a slim carry, you hardly notice it in the pocket. It's surprising to me how much I like the slimline trapper, given that I don't like carrying full-size trapper.
Fabulous image !!!

Great choices and reasons, Ron!![]()
Thanks for your ongoing support, Dean.
(I finished reading Prelude to Foundation yesterday, an excellent follow-up to Robots and Empire. I can see why someone could choose a username honoring RDaneel.)
Cool color match, Dean! That Case with its Roman "20" must be twice as good as your old "10" Barlow.
Artistic blade, Dean!
