What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I actually carried these 2 today but never had time to get some pictures . With all this heat , maybe these older pictures may make you feel a little cooler . My 2 favorite Stags today because today ends with a "Y" . One of my Northfield 73's and a Northfield 43 .

Thanks, Harvey. :) I agree that my mathematical knife rocks, but your damascus snakewood shocks!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks, GT. That Primble is a legacy from my stepfather, as are most of my nicer knives, and I don't have much information on their particulars. The covers' color was darker until I cleaned some grime off with mineral oil. Given their age, I assume that the original color had actually lightened with wear, but that's speculation. Your stag sowbelly is a precious little piggy.
...
Thanks, again, GT. I see it as a classic coffin, given the sharp angles, especially on the bottom bolster. This old Hammer Brand is my idea of a coke bottle handle:

Stuart, I appreciate your providing the info that you were able to for that stunning old Primble, and for the illustrated instruction about coffins and Cokes. :)

Too lazy to give it much thought, I picked another Primble to pack in my pocket today.

Thanks, guys. @Cutfinger , I can understand the English jack relation; I think that it may be the capital bolsters. This is Primble's idea of an English jack (a #5727 from 1940-1968) at 4 1/8".

Starting to get things together for next weeks camping trip. Figure two knives should cover any task I encounter.

I like to pick the knife in your group that I like the best. That was difficult today, but the RR stag sowbelly stockman wins!:thumbsup:

Thanks, Gary. Your QQ is looking good as usual.
Thanks for your ongoing support, Dean. :)
(I finished reading Prelude to Foundation yesterday, an excellent follow-up to Robots and Empire. I can see why someone could choose a username honoring RDaneel.)

Sunday special.

Cool color match, Dean!:cool::cool: That Case with its Roman "20" must be twice as good as your old "10" Barlow.

Twins with different covers. I like them both, it is Sunday, so why not?

My late father would have loved your "Euler's Identity" knife; I think about him each time I see it! Quite a musical quartet Gary!!! :)
...
I appreciate your replies, JJ. :) Did your father have some mathematical interests?

That top knife looks like a winner, especially with that fascinating shield!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

My tote pair today will be a couple Robeson jacks; a large post war Daddy Barlow and a medium sized pre war PocketEze. :D
Your Robesons rule! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Dug this out for the ABC thread, old pic but I put some Lemon Oil on the scales and it will be in the pocket today.

That experience sounds way less than ideal, Tom!:( I hope there's not too much swelling (or allergic reactions). At least you have a fine pair of knives to help ease the pain!:cool::thumbsup:
