Those old GTOs were spectacular machines! Nice knife, by the way! ;)
Thanks Lance, I never had a GTO but my friend had a 66 in Candy Apple Red, my god what a beautiful car!!! Last day of our senior year he backed up on the High School steps and left a burn out that was there all throughout the summer of 1980:eek:;):D

He partied like he was gettin paid to do it and today he's a Pastor:D:D:D

Couple of cool knives, Stuart :thumbsup::cool:, but my abused eyes can't quite seethe makers on the tang stamps. I wonder who came up with the designs for celluloid covers back in the day? There were certainly some crazy ones that looked nothing like natural materials. Your pair is colorful, but they look like prisoners with their striped outfits!!

Thanks, GT. Miss Norma thinks that they look like the regimental striped ties (a.k.a., rep ties) that I used to wear to work with a blue blazer and white button-down shirt. The two bladed premium pen is a VANCO (Indianapolis 1888-1940). The physician's knife is a mystery, as my eyes (even with relatively recent cataract surgery and a magnified picture) can't make out the maker's mark. Any guesses?

Another beautiful image to gaze upon Gev; a timeless piece!:thumbsup::rolleyes:
JJ Cahill JJ Cahill - Great image of two beauties, JJ.
Thank you Harvey!!! Another lovely lamb for you and that patch is cool; a real blast from the past!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Very handsome workers, JJ. They look like they just came out of their boxes.
Thanks Stuart!!! They are young and stainless (ATS 34?) and are easy maintenance.:D
I only have a couple of real Remingtons and they weren't that good looking when they were new, I don't think. Seriously fine looking specimens, JJ.
Thanks again!!! They were a couple of fortunate finds.
That rope chopper is an unusual knife (to me)!:cool::cool: Of what material is the handle made
Thank you Gary!!! The covers are bone and are Queen's version of worm-groove, I believe.
Thanks for the additional pic of that knife; I was quite sure I saw something more than just a straight back to it - Cool. :)
What department is your brother in? Profs are thicker than tics on a hound in Ann Arbor! ;)
Certainly Gary; I think the shape is a bit unique and does require an image.:)
My brother is a Professor in 3 departments; Economics, Education, and Public Policy. Guess he can't make up his mind.

Very interesting tang stamp Stuart; it looks like Royal Brand Cutler with "Sharp Cutter" in the middle. I could easily be wrong with these old peeks.o_O
There was a Royal Brand imported from Germany from 1914-1954 and sold by FW Woolworth.

Getting ready to embark on a week long hunting trip. The reports regarding elk are quite favorable so far.

I've got these two with me today.

Elk?? Our dove and resident goose seasons haven't even opened yet (this coming Monday and Sunday, respectively). You are packing a potent pair today. Both are beautiful, Dylan. Good luck and safe travels.

Thanks, Ron, and with that AC, you only need one.

You are swinging for the fences with those two, Ron!!

I'm sending best wishes to your BIL, Ron. Hoping for the best.
Thanks Stuart! I appreciate it! :)

IMHO, those are a couple of GEC's most desirable knives!:cool::thumbsup:
