Great Eastern #65 Ben Hogan
Artistic patina, and superior placement of the lock release!

Imperial cattle knife and #43 today...
Boffo cattle knife, Steve!

I quit smoking cigars almost 5 years ago, but I still like a cigar pattern knife just fine!
I had a need to poke some leather; this Case Stockman has the sharpest/pointiest punch I've seen.
Not to put too fine a point on it, but your punch is definitely looking sharp, Dean!

Such unusual and intriguing ebony, Jon!

Decided to carry the acrylic stockyard whittler today, paired with this S&M heritage series ebony jack simply because I thought they looked good as a pair.

I agree that's a handsome pair, and gives you notable blade variety!

Thanks for taking notice of all of our knives, Stuart.
Thanks, Gary. It's a simple but extraordinary knife.
Well, as you know, I was going to sit out round three, but I like a challenge.
Glad you changed your mind, Vince.

At least it had fewer than 10000 characters, so I didn't have to split it as I often must due to my excessive enthusiasm.

Two of my favorites, car and knife

Grand Goat - Turn it on, wind it up, blow it out!

Two high performance machines, Paul!

I used to play softball with a guy who claimed he had lots of crazy ideas because of the fumes in the paint factory where he worked. Everyone else on the team usually called me GT, but he always called me Goat for GTO. Gotta have a link to the song:
Is that canoe a white bone Rough Rider? Handsome pair!

Thanks GT and yep its a Rough Rider canoe. I have 3 of them in the canoe pattern and all are fine knives and get carried.
A lot to like about the RR besides just the cost.

True fact!

Thanks, GT. Miss Norma thinks that they look like the regimental striped ties (a.k.a., rep ties) that I used to wear to work with a blue blazer and white button-down shirt. The two bladed premium pen is a VANCO (Indianapolis 1888-1940). The physician's knife is a mystery, as my eyes (even with relatively recent cataract surgery and a magnified picture) can't make out the maker's mark. Any guesses?

Thanks for the info and image, Stuart, but I can only read the "nonessential" words on the stamp.
Royal Brand Sharpcutter Cutler Company?
Impressive, Vince!

Once you say it, I can see it (sort of).
Yes, thanks, Vince. I found it in Goins' right after posting the pic. 1914-1954. Boy. is that a relief!

Thank you Gary!!! The covers are bone and are Queen's version of worm-groove, I believe.
Certainly Gary; I think the shape is a bit unique and does require an image.

My brother is a Professor in 3 departments; Economics, Education, and Public Policy. Guess he can't make up his mind.

Thanks for the info, JJ; very interesting bone!

Wow, I always have trouble handling the "politics and personalities" of just ONE department!
