Sorry you missed a 77 Barlow, Ron. That pair must provide plenty of consolation, though!:thumbsup::cool:

You must dance a jig every time you see that jigging you did, Jeff!:thumbsup::)

I think it's a 1997

Thanks, Steve; I'd never seen a Case copperhead like yours before, but I found other examples online after you "opened my eyes". ;):thumbsup:

Delightful duos, Steve & Tom!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Tom, will you start carrying knives in "Cardinals colors" as the baseball postseason starts? ;)

5K Qs 5K Qs - Thank you GT. I envy the view afforded your beautiful Marbles ram’s Horn Sowbelly.
...
I know what you mean, Harvey. I'm looking forward to enjoying that view again in about 45 weeks (but who's counting?).

Nice selection Gary especially the Boker !
Thanks, Steve. :)

Thank you, Gary. Who knows my 2nd favorite stockman may change the longer I carry the sowbelly. ;)

Your 2 SAKs, sowbelly and stockman knives are all great (especially the ram's horn sowbelly)!
I appreciate your remarks, Dean. :)

A light knife carry day with only this teardrop. I'm exhausted from two days of going to the Apple store for repairs of my in-warranty iPhone (not their fault, I had two different problems in two days!).

Such a heavenly teardrop, Dean!:cool::thumbsup: I hope the iPhone problems are all behind you now.

Gorgeous Red Alox, GT.
That would surely brighten a fellows morning.
...
Thank you, GT.
I do like my ebony in bunches. :)

Thanks again, GT.
He gets restless when I don't take him outside once in a while. ;)
...
Thanks, John; I think a SAK, even with Alox covers, looks better in red. :)
You've got a bunch of great knives with you, even in your "homeless" state. ;):cool:

Hey GT, I meant to answer your question sooner but got busy. On SMKW site they refer to it as a locking stockman. The main blade is a lockback type.
Thanks for the info, David; it helped me find that model online.:thumbsup::) The ones I found have glow-in-the-dark covers - that's kinds cool! ;)

... You’ve got all grounds covered as usual with your totes Gary. I like the horn covers on your sow! ...
Thanks, Nick. :) Those rams horn Marbles are a great series; I have 4 patterns (sowbelly, canoe, Barlow, Pruner) out of the 8 that are (were?) available.

Thanks for treating The Porch to that treasured trio, Stuart, especially the 2 2OTs!!:thumbsup::cool::cool:

I finished power washing our top deck today just in time to accept delivery of a new king-size hybrid foam/coil mattress for our master bedroom. Yah!! The old mattress weighed 125 lbs, and the new one is a lighter 120 lbs. I decided to cut the old one into more manageable sections to get it outside. 11.5" thick X 74" wide!! My start with a box cutter was comedic. I switched to the Klein Tools duct knife below. Aggressive serrated on one side, scalpel sharp plain edge on other. BAAAD ASSH.

Congrats on completing your modern Labor of Hercules, Stuart!:eek::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Certainly Gary! Thank you for the kind comments!!!:D:thumbsup::thumbsup: I did see the numerical connection between the two knives and thought that was interesting; the big jack is indeed French Ivory and in my quest to narrow down it's date and origins I have only seen that used by Camillus in their 23s during the "short line" era (1946-49.) This begs the question "did Pal Cut Co and Camillus have some kind of deal?":rolleyes:
...
Thanks again Gary!!! You are spot on; the flathead driver, on this earlier version, has a file on the inside edge which is still quite usable.;):thumbsup:

Another exemplary foursome you have today Gary; that's also a cool Pepsi cap lifter!:cool::thumbsup:
...
Thanks for the additional info about your knives and the kind compliments about mine, JJ. :)

My wooden covered totes for Wednesday are both patterns i have used rigorously in the past; a Buck 110 with a 5160 carbon steel drop point and a Pre WWII Robeson TL-29.:)
A couple of ligneous lovelies, JJ!:thumbsup::cool:

Thanks for showing the Abbeydale, Jack! ;):thumbsup: Always great to see a former Knife of the Year reliving its glory days!

That EO jack is an Extraordinary One, Jeff!:thumbsup::cool:

Memorable wood, Jon! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Cool photo, Vince!:cool::thumbsup: It must drive you nuts when you're not carrying your big trapper. ;)
Thanks, Gary. I like big knives!
Always great to see a former Knife of the Year reliving its glory days!
Nice song from Springsteen, but I think he sometimes sings about things he knows nothing about. For example, in Glory Days, he refers to a fastball as a "speedball." I've never heard that term in baseball; I've heard "heat," "chin music", etc. Sounds more like a drug term! Maybe it's a Jersey thing.

And guns: he sings about a barrel of a gun "spinning" (2001 album). It's the cylinder of a revolver that spins.

But he puts on a great show. Saw him in 1984 and again about ten years ago. Clemons was still alive and performing. Went with my wife last time; she doesn't even like Springsteen, but said it was the best concert she had ever been to.
