What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I dropped this Buck in my pocket this morning! :)

Enthralling vintage jack, Gev! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

On my hike today, I carried these two.

Dean, your Buck Forum knife and that"10" Ulster Barlow make a dynamic duo! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

The time has come to stop babying the safe queens and start carrying them on a daily basis. View attachment 1219056
Sensational amber stag Lloyd, Alan! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: Good luck with your transition to a "new philosophy".

Surviving another power outtage by Pacific Gas And Electric due to these high wind conditions and fire danger...(actually none in my area)....

Superior Case sawcut Barlow, Taylor! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:
Inferior treatment by PG&E. :thumbsdown::(

Just got home and this was waiting in the mailbox. First order: pbjs for baby girl.
...
Thank you, Alan (@joeradza), for letting this beauty go!
Congrats on the new table knife on steroids, Shawn! :D:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Today's two totes are both the same pattern from the same company in the same era, one civilian and one military issue; a 1923-39 walnut electrician and a cocobolo TL-29 from Robeson.:)
...
Electrifying elderly electricians, JJ! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Been using the Tribal Lock lately . . . quite a nice using knife!
...
Quite a nice looking knife, too, Jeff! :cool::cool:;) I'm a big fan of that navy blue jigged bone with the red shield on a mini copperhead I have, and hope to order a similar Tribal Lock and canoe soon.

Thanks Gary! The Mink does indeed have tip bolsters! :):thumbsup:
Thanks for the info, Ron. :)

I’ve had limited carry choices in my rotation for the last couple of weeks. I’ve been visiting my daughter in DC. I am missing some of my normal EDC knives but, with these two I’ve managed to get by! :):thumbsup:
...
There are few pairs that I'd prefer over that bone WCLF/stag Churchill pair you're "getting by" with, Ron! ;):cool::cool:

My saw scout accompanied by a custom from local knife maker Evan Miller. I have a hunting knife on order from him as well that I am looking forward to trying. It is kind of a Mora-inspired blade profile with stacked leather handles.
...
Super saw scout, and congrats on the custom you've got coming! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

A couple of Camies a #12 and a #72
...
Notable pair of old Camillus folders, Steve! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

5K Qs 5K Qs - Kind of you to say that, GT. An impressive bevy of RRs. Really like the Stag mini trapper. Looks like ancient covers.

I appreciate your supportive remarks, Harvey. :)
Your modified Opinel is sensational! :cool::thumbsup::cool: I sometimes wonder what my knives would look like through your lens! ;)

I appreciate it, rbeggs. I’m at peace with it~Never over it, but God gets you through it:)
In fact, we are on a road trip (2 days to get there) to Atlanta to visit my son’s real, live human legacy~ our two granddaughters:D

Have a safe and satisfying trip, Jeff! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

The Tree of Life - riding the pillar of equilibrium

And the Imperial EO teardrop jack rules them all! ;):thumbsup::thumbsup:

Fine photo, Jer; this time the 2 green Case knives look like day-glo models! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Exemplary ebony, and lots of it, Rachel! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Pocket wear and pitted blades. 100+ year old bone handled jack knife by Bayonne Knife Co. Still functions well with good blade action and snap, the blade takes a sharp edge. I'd love to know where all it has been over the years? if only it could tell stories.View attachment 1219703
Outstanding!!! :eek::thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Thank you for you comments, Gary. I agree that Asimov finished it well after decades away; too bad he passed away so young (72).

I like that shadow pattern, too; after not seeing it for several years. :)

A precious panoply of Rough Riders, Gary! :thumbsup::thumbsup:
That Asimov could come back to it more than 30 years later is quite impressive! (Was the Gaian woman Bliss in the last 2 novels a robot, or not?)
Glad you found that old Case! :)
Thanks for the praise of my Rough Riders. :)

Wore one and carried the other

Harry
Both Waynorth Cutlery products, cap and lambsfoot, excel in both style and substance, Harry! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

...
A "Magnificent Seven" Rough Riders you have today Gary, very cool!!!:cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:
...
For my Saturday totes I've got a BSA scout from the late 40s and a BSA whittler from the 60s, both by Camillus; Camillus Cut Co served the "Scouting world" for six continuous decades, amazing.:)
...
Thanks, but who's counting, JJ? :p:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Lovely couple of BSA Camillus knives! :thumbsup::cool::cool: Bone, or synthetic, covers?

Working today, so I decided to start using this one. I've had it for a couple years. Camillus 4" stockman rehandled in stag, with a fancy federal shield and nickle silver liners, courtesy of @glennbad.

That's a superb stockman! :cool::thumbsup::cool: I especially like the way you have each blade "outlined".

Thank you JJ There are so many great details on each of you pair. Love the badge shields.

5K Qs 5K Qs - Much thanks, GT. A donut is a donut, until it’s not a donut. The one you see was a bakery baked fresh that morning, and as delicious as it should be.:) But I get your point.:)

Gevonovich Gevonovich - Very nice, Gev. I see a stick figure surfing on the spine of the clip, while carrying a stone.:)

Amir Fleschwund Amir Fleschwund - Thank you Jeff. Hope you all are having a good time.

LOL

I feel the desire for some of my Moms Potato Starch cookies and of course one of those sweet lamb creations

Joan's Potato Starch Cookies

1/2 cup potato starch flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup butter

Mix well. Roll into balls
Place on ungreased cookie sheet and press with fork
Bake at 375 F for about 18 mins or until golden brown around the edges

Thanks, Dean. :)
You're toting a high-octane pair! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

International Knife of the Week is a MAM sheepsfoot, and Big Knife of the Week is a MAM Iberica, another weird coincidence in my rotation schedule:

Thanks, Gary. Bliss was a human individual who was part of the Gaian planetary entity (I can't believe I wrote that!).

Figures by the time I can get to the antique tractor show, they're wrapping up:rolleyes: Oh well there's always next year.
Sorry you missed that, David! I love old tractors. The one I use at the tree farm the most is a ‘68 MF 20. Not sure if it qualifies as an antique ~ it’s just a great old working tractor. Three cylinder diesel English goodness ~ runs all day on about a gallon of #2 fuel.

Dropped the girls at a movie, which left me two hours for a nice hike. North Georgia is beautiful, although their leaves aren’t yet in full glory like back home. Hiked up a pretty little creek.

You got some nice woodies in your rotation!

That’s a really nice stag Case!

Thank you Sir! One of my best stags.

Getting more roses in the backyard!
