What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

JJ & Jack & Bruce & Ron, what an impressive array of ebullient ebony for Wooden Wednesday!:cool::cool::thumbsup:
The osage orange is a nice contrast, JJ & Ron!

...

Thanks, Jack & Dean. :) I like the Farmer a lot; I'm thinking about getting my Dad one for his 90th birthday next year.

Thanks Gary, I think that would be a great present for your dad :)

Have a good day Jack! :) Two nice ones there today my friend!

Thanks a lot Ron :)

These two Ebony clad SFO’s seemed appropriate for Black Friday. :D

Great Black Friday choices my friend, have a good day :)

Beautiful grain, but I love the Munch.

Six wild hogs with piglets to protect sounds pretty dangerous.
We had a guy a few years ago lucky enough to be shot in the chest with a 12-ga slug from what must have been extremely long range. It penetrated the muscle but not the ribs. Must have smarted some, though.
And how! I stayed in the car but the time to take my phone, they were far away.
It is very frequent to have hogs or roe deers crossing the roads, and even more in november. Stags are more cautious and it is very rare to meet one.
We've lost a good friend who was riding his BSA. Poor boy was killed and the separate gearbox found several meters away in a field. He probably had the bad luck to cross the road of an old rogue.

I didn't end up watching it myself in the end either Rachel, maybe tonight, been a few years since I've seen it ;)
:D:thumbsup:
Elegant, yet earthy, ebony! :thumbsup::cool:
Thank you.
Frozen pumpkin drool is scary, but the knife is a beaut!

I purchased a GEC #29 Stockyard Whittler in the middle of August, and challenged myself to carry it every day until the first frost. (Not necessarily by itself ;)) It was in my pocket through one of the hottest Septembers on record, and through a mild October. Now it's Nov. 1st, and it got down to 30 degrees overnight. There's a thin layer of ice on the birdbath and I can see my breath, so its officially "winter" in Texas! It'll probably warm up again next week, but I believe my challenge was met. :D
The day I got it:

I'll tote it today, along with an old HOME (Holley & Merwin)

It's All Saints day, with a weather to match, mist and drizzle... too wet for a stroll. I stopped because a company of 6 wild hogs followed by 7 or 8 piglets ran across the field towrd the forrest, probably away from hunters. I'm not curious to see which are the most dangerous.

- they can be frightening
Was riding back after dark on my own from Gassin to La Croix Valmer and a family crossed right in front of me on the Harley. Heart stopping.

- such a beauty, that folder

Too bad to find trouble when you're not looking for it.

In Corsica, it is absolutely not uncommon to have a regular hog lying in the middle of the road. At least they won't attack!

I love my Keen Kutter!:)

Great-looking pair Tom

Carrying my Hartshead Barlow SFO and a vintage Robeson Harness Jack gifted to me by @Campbellclanman in Sheffield some years ago :)

Thanks Jack, same to you pal . Do the sheep in the background appreciate a lambsfoot? :)

2 folders on consecutive days! That's unusual for you, Tom! ;) Lovely ligneous pair!:cool::cool: What's the wood on the Maserin?

- GT

Thanks GT, yes two folders is unusual for me. The wood on the Plow is Bocote, and the grain really pops. Nice Buck canoe you posted, a real looker

These two for me today.

For Friday my totes are a couple of black composition covered jacks from the 1930s; a Remington R2203 and a Syracuse Knife Co EO by Camillus.:)
Thank you JJ. That’s a couple of fine looking Jacks, nicely imaged.

@5K Qs - Much thanks GT. As for the spots: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/trees/maple/maple-tar-spot-disease.htm

Glad to hear that you haven’t lost your Marbles.:) That’s a beauty.

Jack Black Jack Black - The in the field, Hartshead Barlow image is a very nice one. What a fine knife your Robeson Harness Jack is. Duncan sure has great taste.
