What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

For Sunday, my two newest:

Both are extraordinary. The first was an unexpected gift, and the second I've been anticipating for most of the year.

Camillus 60's - 70's No. #61 "Birdseye" shadow stockman 4 " closed "Old Smoothie". This is one stout knife. I don't know the volatility of the covers ?

Yet another lovely image of Linus, your cool ebony jack from Sheffield!:D:thumbsup::thumbsup:
I toted and toyed with these four Cases today

trying to figure how all four lost their shields and how I'm going to ship them to Case for replacements.

Very nice stag covers on those Case beauties Stuart; Case should have some oval shields waiting for you!;):thumbsup:

My two totes for today are both very pocket friendly; a couple of 1920s-30s Robesons. :)

Very nice JJ :)

Good morning folks, had a bit of a confusing start to the day, but hopefully it'll settle down  Hope everyone is having a great weekend :) I'm carrying my Hartshead Barlow and a John Primble generously gifted to me by D Duckdog (he sent me the Horehound candy too) :) Enjoy your Sunday folks

I need to pay attention to those Colt knives. You have shown some that are very nice with good looking covers.

Yes, three blades; Main, cap lifter/opener, and screw driver.
...
Thanks for the Colt compliment, John. :) I was sad to hear that they stopped making the Colt knives a couple of years ago. :(
Thanks for the additional pic of your Richards from Jack; cool, useful knife!:thumbsup::cool:

This, my friends, is why we travel a thousand miles from home. 40 or 50 degrees warmer is just icing on the knife. Or cake.View attachment 1251626
Great photo, Jeff; enjoy your visit!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Cattaraugus Whittler - straight from the pocket into the cold
...
I'd love to see the ice sculptures you made with that whittler, Gev! ;):thumbsup:

Thank you, Gary! Case Barlow tie is with this one in what Case calls Appaloosa bone.

Speaking of Boffo, both your Colt Sowbelly and RR regular stockman fit the bill.:thumbsup:
Thanks for the Barlow info, Dean; that blue bone is a little taste of summer. ;):cool:
I appreciate you assessment of my stockman knives; the RR medium stockman has most of the characteristics of the 897UH you sent me 4 years ago. :)
Great photo of your Buck BF knife!:cool::thumbsup:

Thanks Gary! :) I can feel your pain on that Gary! Wheels and tires!
Thanks, Ron. "No pain, no gain", I guess.

Congrats Rachel and everyone else who are showing off that dignified 2019 BF knife!!:cool::thumbsup:

Great carries today, Gary. And by the way, Happy Birthday! Hope it's a good one.
Thanks x 2, Vince. :) I took home some leftover burrito, rice, and beans from my birthday dinner, and I've been enjoying that for a couple of days.:thumbsup:

...
Still got my new knife in my pocket.
Congrats! I know you like your big Case trappers. ;):cool:

It is a re-handle I did of the plastic version of the classic 907e
...
Thanks for the reply, Tom; that wood looks great on your Okapi!:cool::cool:

Old photo but in the pocket today! :)
...
Ron, your ironwood lambsfoot is outstanding, but the little stag sleeveboard took me by surprise!:thumbsup::cool:

...
5K Qs 5K Qs - Your Colt Sowbelly has my rapt attention, GT.
...
...
Thank you very much, Gary!!! You always have the coolest selection of Canoes and Sowbellies; your "black stag" Sowbelly is a real beauty!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
...
Thanks for mentioning my Colt sowbelly, Harvey & JJ. :) It was marketed as "black stag", but it's really stag bone (looks good to me, though).

These two totes for today are both wearing black synthetic covers; a Syracuse Knife EO jack and a Remington R2203 jack, both from the 1930s. :)
...
JJ, your daily pairs usually result in my being tempted to break the Tenth Commandment!:thumbsup::thumbsup:;)

...
Thanks Gary, hope you had a very happy birthday :) Nice selection there, the bone on your Buck Canoe is aptly named :)
...
Morning folks, miserable weather here again, but at least it's Friday ;) Have a good one, the weekend is nearly here
...
Thanks, Jack. :)
Your stag HHB and ebony gunstock are partnering up quite frequently of late, with good reason!:thumbsup::cool:

Christmas Vacation has started for me today.
So, I'll probably change out the knives in my pocket several times today.
But, GT reminded me that I need to get Skoll, my Ironwood Lamb, out into the sunlight before he goes mad...
Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf??:thumbsup:;)

Stockman and a Jack today
...
That stockman is the bee's knees, Steve!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I've been dealing with what I thought was a cold all week that turns out is an upper respiratory tract infection; so that's fun.

A pair of Bermuda Green Cases, a Lloyd, and an @Osprey Knife & Tool Warthog are keeping me company while I try to quarantine myself from the crew as much as possible today.
...
Have a lovely weekend, everyone! I'm hoping to sleep as much as possible.
I hope you shake the infection ASAP, Shawn. Your knives are the picture of health!!:cool::thumbsup:

The bone on that mini copper lock is appealing; congrats!!:cool::thumbsup:

Case Swayback Gent re-fitted with cross cut mammoth ivory by Glennbad...
Holy Mammoth Tooth!! :eek::thumbsup::thumbsup: That's a breath-taking knife, Wayne! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

These 2 Lambfoot again
...
Harry
That Waynorth jigged bone lambsfoot is probably the best-looking GEC I've seen this year, Harry!:thumbsup::cool:

Today I'll be toting these two brown bone Cases; a stockman and a Barlow. :)
...
Brown bone beauties, JJ! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

The checkered bone covers on your 78 are superb!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Camillus 60's - 70's No. #61 "Birdseye" shadow stockman 4 " closed "Old Smoothie". This is one stout knife. I don't know the volatility of the covers ?

Bright yellow big shadow stockman with double birdseye pivots?? Priceless!!:cool::thumbsup:

5K Qs 5K Qs thanks Gary and your Peanut is a beauty !
Thanks, Steve. :)

...
Thank you, Gary. A fine family of knives you have today. Your Cold Steel Kudu looks like a handful!:thumbsup:
Thanks, Dean. :) I'm considering making the Kudu a "car knife" or a "winter coat knife"; it's just too long (but very light) for me to comfortably pocket carry.

Stag/Horn Knife of the Week is a Colt stag copperhead:

Lambsfoot of the Week is also stag; I named it Cracker Jack:

Thanks Gary, I think they go quite well together, as do those two :)

Congrats Rachel and everyone else who are showing off that dignified 2019 BF knife!!:cool:
Thanks, GT. Every year when we get our Forum Knife, I think some folks must get tired of seeing it over and over again in this thread. But there's something special about having it in my pocket when I know so many other porch-sitters are carrying theirs as well.
