What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Emergency room. When I signed in, they said it would be a least two hours.

But they got me triaged and admitted in less that ten minutes. EKG, Xrays, CT Scans, blood work... yikes.View attachment 1257911

Should I be nervous?:eek:
I did not want to push the "LIKE " button but that is the only way to let you know that we are praying for you my friend .

Happy New Year folks! :) Wishing all my friends here a very happy 2020 :thumbsup:

Here, '2020' was a vile-looking 'alcopop' from the early 1990's. I never tasted it thankfully! :eek:

I had a lovely walk in the Yorkshire countryside yesterday, with a bundle of knives, which included the Hartshead Barlow I'm carrying again today :)

Charlie's @waynorth Lambsfoot is so beautiful I have only used it lightly so far, but I'm carrying it again today, to look at and admire :) For me, the memorable event of 2019 was Charlie's health hiccup. like many here, I worried so much about him, but he came back STRONG, and gave us this knife :cool: A great knife and a great man :) Wishing all our members good health and happiness in the coming year :thumbsup:

Thank you very kindly Jack and a very Happy New Year to you!!! Great images of your wonderful "New Year" slicers, both with Big Ben and in the wild!:cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: Btw, good thing you stayed away from the MD 20/20, otherwise known as "Mad Dog!":eek:
Couple of tasty strawberries, JJ! :cool::cool::thumbsup:
Thanks, JJ. :) That was an old photo of the cutting board, and I don't remember if the fruits and vegetables were chopped up for my breakfast oatmeal or for salad toppings.
Thank you very much Gary!!! Those chopped toppings looked detectable!;)
Wonderful New Yorker to ring in the New Year Gev; Happy New Year to you!:D
Extremely interesting :cool: fervent admirer of the BB series. Were these original Cell scales or a re-handle job? Very attractive indeed.
Thank you kindly Will!!! They are indeed the original "Goldstone" covers.:)

Happy New Year! You are right about that 44. I had one like yours. Ebony on that frame is flat out beautiful. I should get another and hang onto it. Who knows, my nails and joints might improve enough to manage it. What I have is not curable but I have been managing it for four years. I am fortunate that I can enjoy our hobby. Learning about and having traditional knives brings me a lot of joy and being on the porch is icing on the cake.

That's an admirable and inspiring attitude! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: I hope 2020 brings you many enjoyable experiences.

Happy New Year’s
Peanut and Presidential? Beauties! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

These two wanted a bit of sunshine today.
...
Happy and safe New Year to everyone! Hopefully, 2020 is better than 2018 and 2019!
Same to you, Shawn! :):thumbsup::thumbsup:

Back to a couple of favorites today.
...
That 5OT is especially alluring! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

The last knife I carry in 2019 is the latest knife I picked up. Another Schrade 897 Uncle Henry that’s wicked sharp. Handles are a bit more knobby than the last one I bought, but it’ll make a good user. Be safe tonight everyone. I’m just staying home watching some old Kirk Douglas movies tonight....
...
That's a classic; congrats! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

I just finished cleaning up and sharpening this Schrade Cut Co pen knife and it hung out all day in my watch pocket.
Notable pen knife, Ernie! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

Linus and I tore into this delightful doughnut.

Good eye Gary as it is an Eddie Bauer! Thank you most kindly and have a Happy New Year!!!:D

Thanks for the confirmation, JJ, and I hope 2020 is a fantastic year for you! :)

These two New Years totes with Goldstone covers, popular in the 1920s, to ring in the 2020s; both BB Winchesters, a coffin jack and a split-back whittler. Happy New Year everyone!!! :)
...
What a glitzy pair, JJ; I especially like the looks of that coffin jack with the knurled bolster! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Great photos of two remarkable lambsfoot knives from 2019, Jack, ringing in the new year and on your frosty, sunny hike. :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: I really like that outdoor shot of the stag HHB!

Thanks a lot Gary :) I had a very pleasant hike thanks, there's a few more pics in the Guardians thread :) Happy New Year pal :) :thumbsup:
Same to you, Jack! :)

Thanks Gary! Yes, on the eighth day following surgery, I was able to switch from a walker to the cane. Hopefully in the next week, or so, I’ll be moving around without any assistance.
Sounds like good progress, Lance! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: You'll be on rollerblades before you know it! ;)

Happy New Year everybody. :)
...
Thanks, John. :) I hope 2020 is a year filled with health and joy for everyone!

Three that really hit home with me. A novelty baseball folder with Mickey Mantle (my all time favorite). Pitchers and catchers report in 42 days. My Schrade wire jack obsession featuring a large hawkbill. And one of my favorite traditional folders, the Case Bose lockback whittler which I carry but haven't used.

3 fine knives, Alan! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup: I hear the Yankees picked up a pitcher who might help! ;)

This for sure. A soupcon of snazzy for NYD.
...
Snazzy Barlow for sure, Jer, and a fine ICHIGA calendar! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

I dunno, Gary. My first decade also runs from year 0 (my birth in 1960), and my tenth birthday is in 1970. To me that's 10. Can't help the way my mind categorizes things. But I understand yours and Rachel's point. Okay, let's begin "The Roaring Twenties"!
...
Here's a mathematical concept that gets me thinking every time I fall behind in a thread on BF. Suppose I'm about to start page 1960 of a thread whose current posts are on page 1970. I always think, "OK, I'm 10 pages behind" but then realize I actually have 11 pages to read through to catch up. Counting is hard! :p:D
