What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Three that really hit home with me. A novelty baseball folder with Mickey Mantle (my all time favorite). Pitchers and catchers report in 42 days. My Schrade wire jack obsession featuring a large hawkbill. And one of my favorite traditional folders, the Case Bose lockback whittler which I carry but haven't used.

^^^ being a die hard Red Sox fan, it hard to appreciate anything Yankees......BUT Mickey Mantle is in my top 5 players of all time. Love the knife! I understand your optimism for this coming year.

I'm not a Red Sox hater as I LOVE all things baseball. Anyway how could I hate the team that sold us the greatest player of all time.

This for sure. A soupcon of snazzy for NYD.

The 20th century and the 1900s are identical to me (the distinction between ordinal and cardinal numbers is another whole can of worms ), and MY first decade runs from my year 0 (starting at birth) through my year 9 (right up to my 10th birthday anniversary).
I dunno, Gary. My first decade also runs from year 0 (my birth in 1960), and my tenth birthday is in 1970. To me that's 10. Can't help the way my mind categorizes things. But I understand yours and Rachel's point. Okay, let's begin "The Roaring Twenties"!
Thanks, Harvey. :) Every time I use an Opinel, I wonder why I mess around with other knives if I just want to cut stuff.

Love that picture, Jack. Happy New Year. :)

Happy New Year everybody. :)

Thanks a lot John, the same to you :) That's a great start to 2020

Happy New Year, folks!

After a nice steak dinner and a few drinks, we stayed awake long enough to toast the new year and watch the ball drop in Times Square. Then it was bouna notte.

Starting off the roaring 20s with a few sharp friends.

Sounds like a lovely evening Gary :) Happy New Year my friend

Nice set-up!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Do you carry that zippered pouch on your belt?
That's a Maxpedition micro pocket organizer, it's something new I'm trying for myself ( they're not new ).
Last year I made a shift away from carrying anything besides a knife on my belt when I'm off work, otherwise I would have went with something that offers belt carry.

I apparently haven't posted in this thread since Christmas Eve! Who knew I had such a rich, full holiday social life?? Time to start catching up, a little at a time.

Congrats; the racing stripes are sweet!:thumbsup::cool: Which model SAK is that? Your family did good on that one!! :)

Great Christmas photo, Steve! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

To me, that's quite a rare pair, JJ; thanks for sharing your always-intriguing knives!:thumbsup::cool:

Fantastic Forum knife :thumbsup::thumbsup:, and I can't help but admire the "monogram" on the axle housing (I have no technical knowledge of bikes, so forgive my ignorance of terminology ).

Such a pleasant knife to look at, José!:cool::thumbsup:

Herzlichen Glückwunsch zur Geburt Ihrer neuen Tochter!! :):cool::cool::thumbsup:
(I saw your knife photo with the German Bible recently, so I thought I'd try to use a Google translator to express my congratulations.)

Looks like you've got equipment more than adequate for the task, Stuart!! Happy Hunting!:cool::thumbsup:

Your two TEWs are too much, Harry!:cool::cool:

Another first-class Linus shot, Harvey!:thumbsup::thumbsup: A day without orange slices is a like a day without sunshine, but you had plenty of both on Boxing Day, I'll bet! ;)

Another charming couple of knives, JJ; I'm a real fan of spey blades, and love the looks of your Catt!:cool::thumbsup:

Why can't we all just get along? They should learn to share a pocket; they go great together!!:cool::thumbsup:

Thanks, Alan. :)

Thanks, John. :) It is certainly a unique, and useful, knife!

Thanks for the kind words, Shawn, and same to you! :):thumbsup:
