Thanks pal :) :thumbsup:

Cool mug :D :thumbsup:

Looking good Gary :thumbsup:

Nice pairing Tom :thumbsup:

Thanks Harvey, great pic of your Hartshead Barlow :) :thumbsup:

Smashing Taylor :) :thumbsup:

I leave home early on Thursdays, as I go to help out a pal with a market stall. I'll be carrying the same pair again, mainly so I can show off my Waynorth Black Jack! :D :thumbsup:

Thanks Jack! Right back at you :). Also I find it amusing you are carrying Jack Black’s Black Jack :D

Carrying these older Cases .

Somebody with a GRINDER really hosed this one up , but if I do not open it , it looks really good . I tried to make a cut in some light cardboard and found out that it had to be sharpened . It cuts now .

Harry

"Really hosed this one up..." Hey! I speak Wisconsin. I've seen (and bought) worse hose jobs by goons with grinders.
With the majority of blade steel intact, and lovely redbone, I think you did great! Wonderful user.
Time to get out a flat piece of marble, stick some sandpaper on it, and get rid of those scratches.

Wooden Wednesday.

That's a knife. I love my Big Jack in micarta, but that ironwood is gorgeous.

Thanks Jeff. I hope you are feeling better! Take it easy on the recovery.

Being still sore from banging my head for not getting a #66 tidioute calf roper when it was still available, I decided to treat myself to carrying my #66 slim.

Then home for a hearty breakfast. The night was terrible, but I love how this scandinavian morning has been unfolding so far.
...
Ps I never got in on the #66 Stockman runs either (need to fix that) but I did manage a #661210 Jack-Knife back from the early days of GEC - and I've never carried it!

Love that 66 Slim. I’ll carry my 66 today.

Sorry to hear about your lack of sleep, @SnailOffTheTrail, but thanks for the pictures of your morning view! ;):thumbsup:
Thanks also to you, Old Hunter Old Hunter , and Travman Travman for posting those three versions of GEC's 66 pattern. I tend to think #66=Calf Roper, but that Slim (does it have a pen secondary?), the stag jack, and the muskrat (?) are very attractive variations! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

...
Yes! My lucky knife will see action again next week. :cool::thumbsup:
...
Gotta let it ride while it's working its magic! ;)

Happy Monday Everybody.

Happy Tuesday Everybody
Think my #66 CC Harness Jack will join my usual Lambsfoot today.
...
Couple of red-hot jacks to kick off the work week, John! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Two weeks came and went, and now it's back to work. Enjoyed the time off, but weirdly it's almost refreshing to be getting back to the normal routine :confused:

Li'l Lambsfoot, SAK Electrician, and coffee - Lots of black coffee!
Versatile pair of knives, Mike! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup: (I can't decide if my favorite Alox is an Electrician or a Farmer. :rolleyes:)

Some kind of incongruous "clash of cultures" between the elegant Laguiole and that presumably less-than-elegant Duck Dynasty memoir, Vince! :eek::D:cool::cool:

This one today
...
That Kutmaster stockman is a champ, Steve! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Today's birthday carry
...
Belated birthday greetings, HnS; sounds like you had good celebrations! ;):cool::cool:

5K Qs 5K Qs Thank you, GT! I loved your little Joker lockback so much that I got one for myself!
...
I've got my new Drop Point Hunter with me today. It is such a beauty.
...
I hope you like your Joker as much as I like all 7 (?) of mine, Shawn! :cool::cool::D
Congrats on the new fixed blade and sheath! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Classic medium stockman, Dean! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

Thank you, Gary; you're the one that got me into the Navy Blue bone Case knives you may remember. :)
I certainly do remember that, and now it seems like there's some kind of "feedback loop" going about the Case Navy blue bone! ;)

Today with my GEC #73.;):thumbsup:

Impressive pair, José! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Micarta Monday.

That old knife is worthy of veneration, Harvey! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

This pair today...

That is an eminently notable pair, Wayne! :cool::cool::thumbsup: A couple of my favorites; I'm a big fan of the CV chestnut jigged bone series from Case. ;)

Today : This one just don't get much pocket time...

Remarkable meat chopper, Harry! :cool::cool:;)

This K.R. Johnson small 1306. Fit and finish supreme! Not a bad angle to it View attachment 1260828 View attachment 1260830
Sublime knife! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

The two for Tuesday; a Trapper and a Toothpick. :)
...
Prime pile of bone and steel, JJ, thin and stout!! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

...
First Tuesday of the New Year, and I had an idea to try to carry a random knife from my collection each Tuesday, for as long as I remember :rolleyes: This week's blindfold pick is a Richards of Sheffield Scout Knife, carried along with my Hartshead Barlow :) Have a good day folks :thumbsup:

Random Tuesday sounds interesting, Jack; I'll look forward to that! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:
Your Richards scout is a grand first pick; for some reason I really enjoy faux stag covers (or is that real stag? :eek::rolleyes:).

My new one, Maher & Grosh Yankee Whittler, GEC 781317, arrived yesterday. Exceptionally quick to ship, ordered Saturday morning, had a tracking number in about an hour, and arrived Monday.

It’s a biggun’ with three useful blades on three springs. I prefer ebony handles, yet I’m happy with this cocobolo. The pens on GEC 78’s are some of the best. Will drop it in my pocket today.

Congrats on the unusual new 78! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Outstanding knife, Alan; I really admire the handle! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Working on / with a CASE today ;) My favourite Stockman of theirs, Chestnut Bone.

cbL47No.jpg
Is that the 63032 model, Will? Looks good! :cool::cool::thumbsup:
Coincidentally, I was looking at those on dealer websites yesterday. I typically don't go for square bolsters, tall tang corners, and pen instead of spey, but I certainly do go for chestnut bone CV! :rolleyes:

Superb knife and photo, Gev! :thumbsup::cool::cool: Pocket dump?? ;)

One of my favorite stockman, Case 6347 in amber bone.

That's a handsome stockman, Dean! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Some kind of incongruous "clash of cultures" between the elegant Laguiole and that presumably less-than-elegant Duck Dynasty memoir, Vince! :eek::D:cool::cool:
The Laguiole and Louisiana both have French origins, n'est-ce pas?
Anyway, the Laguiole was supposed to be a knife for a working man--shepherds, people who worked cattle, maybe even duck hunters!
Phil probably carries a Buck 119, though.
