What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thank you Jack. Interesting brass or bronze force multiplyer(?). Plus your current pair of excellent knives. Wonderful.

JohnDF JohnDF - Kind of you to say that, John.

@Dschal - AGood looking bread, Dave. I would like to slice, slather it with garlic butter, and toast it. Add a pasta dish with a glass of Chianti. Oops... getting carried away.

5K Qs 5K Qs - Thank you GT. That chestnut jigged bone Case shadow patterned knife of yours is a jewel.

Delightful pair JJ :) :thumbsup:

Thank you kindly, JJ. Your Laguiole En Aubrac and the Le Thiers De Chambriard make a lovely and elegant pair.
Thank you very much Harvey!!!

Utica jack today

Incredible crinkly bone on your Utica, Steve! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

The best knife GEC ever made. Now it’s mine… (the opinion expressed here is solely my own and is not supported in any way by the Blade Forum management team — even though they are wrong)
:D
Congrats on getting that best-ever ebony Calf Roper! ;):thumbsup::thumbsup:

It’s been a busy couple of days and I haven’t had much time for pictures but I’ve got this little stainless uncle Henry with me while I’m sitting at the airport waiting for my daughter to return.
...
Your Uncle is a handsome Henry! :thumbsup::thumbsup:;) I'm a big staglon fan!

Very cool Vic pen knife. :cool::thumbsup:
...
Great picks for todays foursome; your Alox secretary is certainly a beauty!;):thumbsup::thumbsup:
Your Red Secretary is one I'm always happy to see, Gary. :thumbsup::)
Thanks, John & JJ & Dean. :) Victorinox spear/pen pen knives have a special appeal to me for some unknown reason. I have 3 Pocket Pals, the silver Alox Excelsior has been calling to me lately, and a Pioneer Settler has been a long-time grail knife. :rolleyes:

I got home from work and had the urge to carry the Texas Jack.
...
Outstanding patina and bone, John! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: I wish that knife came with rounded bolsters.

I oughta get one of those Otters, GT.
You really oughta, Harvey; it's an all-business knife. :)
Coincidentally, I was looking at Otter hippeknieps online on Monday! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Thanks to all my Porch friends for your well wishes for my health. You’re all very kind.
I’m still in the hospital.
I will just say that a burst appendix is nothing to mess around with, and I was much sicker than I thought.
View attachment 1261383 I confess to not technically totin them, but over in those Wranglers is an old Case Redbone Peanut, and two beloved Wengers.
Thanks for the update, Jeff. :thumbsup::thumbsup: I hope there are no further complications and that the hospital releases you soon!

...
Thank you kindly Harry!!! For my second career (35-60) I returned to the University for film school and worked as a Photographer/Cinematographer.:rolleyes:
...
These two wood covered French totes for today; juniper and ebony. :)
No wonder I'm always envying your reflection-free indoor photos of your marvelous knives from around the world and across time! :D:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Interesting selection Gary, no fat there :) :thumbsup:

Your HHB/Black Jack pairing is well worth repeating! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

These two for me today.

Sensational shot of your stag HHB, Harvey! :eek::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I put all 3 of these in pocket on the way to work this morning, planning to take the 2 black beauties out once I got there. Of course I got busy, forgot, and carried them all day. No wonder my pants were falling down all day.

Life is short; how much more can a couple of extra knives weigh? :D 6 ounces?

Case Sycamore wood Saddlehorn and CSC Mexican Bocote Bladeforums double ended jack.

Special pair, Dean! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: I didn't even realize it was Wooden Wednesday until I saw your post just before I headed to bed. :(

The patina is progressing.

Pretty pair; I propose that we all promote progressive patina whenever possible! :thumbsup:;):thumbsup:

The Laguiole and Louisiana both have French origins, n'est-ce pas?
Anyway, the Laguiole was supposed to be a knife for a working man--shepherds, people who worked cattle, maybe even duck hunters!
Phil probably carries a Buck 119, though.
Good points all, Vince! :thumbsup::thumbsup:;)

Nice pair of Cases, Gary.;):thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thanks, Harvey & JJ & José. :) I completely concur with your assessment (and the Sodbuster Jr has significant sentimental value as well).

Toting a couple Imperials today; a Hammer Brand from the late 1930s and a BSA Cub from the late 1940s. :)

Those Imperials look stout, JJ! :thumbsup::thumbsup:;)

Today with one of this pair of #15 stainless steel GEC's.;):thumbsup:

Classy #15s, José! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

I love that Imperial Cub Scout. Mine's pretty good, but it obviously spent a lot of time in a well-travelled gravel wheel rut.

The white Camillus is my best Cub. I'm still looking for one exactly like the one I traded away as a kid. But it must be pristine and cheap.
