Well I popped the cherry on my BF 86. Started some patina tonight taking apart lamb chops for dinner. I'm also coon fingering my newest recover project. Case CV Sowbelly. She's an absolute sweetheart!

Is this knife perfect? Nope!! Does it preform every task I need it to with no problem? Absolutely!! And it’s a GEC quality lambfoot without paying the secondary pricing of the CC SFO. Best of both worlds if ya ask me.

The patina is progressing.

Pretty pair; I propose that we all promote progressive patina whenever possible!

The Laguiole and Louisiana both have French origins, n'est-ce pas?
Anyway, the Laguiole was supposed to be a knife for a working man--shepherds, people who worked cattle, maybe even duck hunters!
Phil probably carries a Buck 119, though.

I love that Imperial Cub Scout. Mine's pretty good, but it obviously spent a lot of time in a well-travelled gravel wheel rut.

The white Camillus is my best Cub. I'm still looking for one exactly like the one I traded away as a kid. But it must be pristine and cheap.

I might also add that it is the best built Case knife I own. It has strong pulls and very solid 'snap', just like my Lambsfoot knives. It is definitely a rugged knife and very pocket filling at 4 inches. A very generous gift from my friend, ED.
