What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Nice Black Friday carries JJ

I'm carrying my Hartshead Barlow, and an Old Friend, in the form of a Ka-Bar Peanut, generously gifted to me by Pete @Stich2442 many years ago :) Have a good Friday folks

Thanks a lot, Jack!!! Nice way to end the week with your Hartshead and an "Old friend," classic!
Thank you kindly, JJ. A pair to be proud of. The tones and colors of the image enhance the beauty of these two special knives. Well done. Part2...For a work knife, your Bull Buster is quite elegant. That Keen Kutter is a gem.
Thank you very much for your kind words, Harvey!!!
WCLF is always on my radar.

Beautiful photo of your Waynorth lamb; I did a double take on your radar display button as it looked almost real!:D:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Carried this Boker 280 Whittler yesterday, I’ve owned it for several years but never carried it more than a time or two before. Discovered yesterday that the point has no edge! I tried to push through the blister plastic on a fishing lure package to use the lure and the point wouldn’t penetrate! Nice edge on the belly of the blade but a dull point - never owned or carried many Boker Solingen knives so I don’t know if this is a normal design feature or not - but I will be adding a proper point with a stone later this morning. OH

I've always loved the little dogleg jacks, currently I've only got an Imperial and a 12OT single blade.
I think that's gonna change here soon, gotta find me a little two blade dogleg.
Camillus made some good ones that don't command much so I think that's where I'll start looking.
Keep your eye out for Case models too, they sell fairly cheap and are really well made.
Edit... I just went hunting for them and noticed they are selling for a lot more than they used to.:eek::eek:

Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, 5K Qs 5K Qs , You are funny! :D

Black Friday, Old Friends Friday.
...
Thanks for reminding me of the source of the Holy Hand Grenade; I was too lazy to look it up when I used it.
That's a remarkable black wood clip/pen TC Barlow!! :eek::thumbsup::thumbsup:

...
I think GT was possessed by the spirit of Robin. :D
...
...
Yes, our very own Boy Wonder ;) :)
...
John & Jack, not really being a comics fan, I didn't even think of the Robin exclamations as I was composing my Holy/Wholly/Holey post! "Wonder Boy" is probably more apt, as in, "Sometimes you make us wonder, Boy!" (By the way, is anyone familiar with "Tom Swifties"? I read a lot of Tom Swift adventures when I was a lad.)
At any rate, the effort seems to have worn me out, since this is my first post in the thread since then, more than a week ago, except for brief posts showing what I've carried (i.e., that actually are directly relevant to the thread title ). My only hope of catching up is to try to do it one day at a time, several times per day! :D

Beautiful knives, very good pictures, Gary.;):thumbsup:
Thanks for your support, José. :)

...
Such interesting choices Gary  I didn't know you had one of those little Moras
...
Two very different Barlows for me today, my Hartshead, and an Old Friend in the form of one of @gunstockjack 's Watchpocket Barlows :) Hope your week rounds off nicely folks :)
...
Thanks, Jack. :) I decided early on in my knife pursuits that I'd limit myself to traditional folders, and especially eschew fixed blades, but picked up that little Mora almost 3 years ago because of my interest in whittling and my interest in inexpensive working knives from various countries (it's as close as I'll get to a puukko ).
Excellent "ovine" pair of Barlows!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

...
Many thanks Gary, just don't call me Jihadi Jack! :D You certainly are my friend
I think I can remember to avoid calling you that! :p

Couple of dark beauties, Jeff, and an interesting 2-fisted approach to grinding coffee beans! ;):thumbsup:

TGIF! Have a great weekend everyone.
...
That's a lovely Laguiole, Mike! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Oh you know, really important stuff...
Cleaning under my fingernails
Popping open beer cans
Fidgeting with on the couch
Scraping crud off of things
Turning screws
Taking apart my son's Legos
Finagling stuff that's stuck
Fishing pocket lint and sawdust out of my knives
Opening knives when my thumbnail gets broken.

I'm sure I could come up with more, but that's all I can think of before my morning coffee!!!
Thanks for the suggestions, Willie. :) I handle most of that kind of stuff with various tools on the Vic Minichamp I always carry, but it's no good as a pry bar.

Found a pearl handled Case 82079 Sleeveboard in NOS at an second hand store yesterday, either 1979 with a hidden dot or a 65-69. OH
...
Congrats on locating that MOP beauty, Bruce!:cool::thumbsup:
I should look for something similar with fake pearl handle as a replacement for a little pen knife that my parents gave me for 8th grade graduation, I think. I only carried it on Sunday for church, and somehow it disappeared when I went away to college; probably in the pocket of an old suit jacket that I left at home and was sold at a fund-raising rummage sale or something.

@r8shell ~ That’s cool!
I was going to quote a funny line from Young Frankenstein, but this is a family show.:D

5K Qs 5K Qs ~ Like one Hawaiian said to another as the cruise ship reached port:

“That’s a whole lotta haoles!”
I know and love the Young Frankenstein line to which you refer, Jeff! :p That's a movie I haven't watched in too long!
Thanks for expanding my Hawaiian vocabulary! ;) I spent several minutes trying to figure out what kind of typo was in your joke, and finally decided to see if "haoles" was actually a word. Pretty clever!! :D:thumbsup::thumbsup:

These two for me today, Happy Friday!
...
Tom, those two (stag Winchester sowbelly and AGRussell Scout) for me ANY day!!:cool::thumbsup:

Thanks, Harvey & John & JJ. You all have good taste; the canittler and the ebony S&M are two of my favorite knives. :)

I thought this German made stag covered slicer would be nice for Saturday. :)
