What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Some people did not think that it was a version of a Farmer's Jack . I prefer to call it a Farmer's Knife . It does have a blade or blades on each end therefore it is technically not a Jack .
I do know that you have a thing for any TL-29 . I do not believe that I have seen that you have one with the TL-29 Shield . Is that correct ???? This one still needs a little cleaning up yet . I have not done a thing to it yet .

Harry
Oops! Of course it’s not a jack... I’ll second the motion for Farmer’s Knife.

I do have a “few” in cocobolo, Case, Utica and Ulster as well as Camillus. But this old beaut is the only one (if I recall correctly) with the TL-29 shield. It came to me in almost unused condition. Never sharpened (until I got it, of course, because I will not carry a dull knife), but with pepper/age spots which are hardly surprising for a WWII era knife.(brass liners)
Cheers!
Edit: brass liners mean NOT wartime production!

Happy Birthday, Dean, and I hope you enjoy many more!:)

Although I've committed, in @Crazy Canuck's "Mystery GAW/Challenge", to USE only this new-to-me Imperial Kamp-King this week,

I'm still carrying all the knives prescribed by my schedule for this week. Here are some of them.

Alox Knife of the Week is a Vic Classic (thanks, Ken), and coincidentally, non-Alox SAK of the Week is also a Classic!

International Knife of the Week is a gift my daughter bought me in Toledo, Spain (no maker ID on the knife, but research has convinced me it's manufactured by the Spanish company Salamandra):

Thank you, Gev! I am blushing from your kind gesture. :)

Happy Birthday Dean!

Nope!
Considering the alternative, there’s no such thing as too many birthdays.

Here’s another one... Tis better to be seen than viewed.:D

Many happy returns, Dean!

Thank you, Jeff!

RDaneel RDaneel Happy Birthday !

Blood and Bone today ;)

Thank you, Steve! That bloodwood is gorgeous!

That looks good Dylan, like the etch too :)

Thank you, Jack! A fine, and colorful, pair you are sporting today.

I shared some thoughts on the #35 Churchill in a brief conversation with Dylan Pàdruig Pàdruig yesterday evening. As a result, I’ve decided to drop my Ebony Churchill in my pocket for Wooden Wednesday. Of course, it’s going to share space with my Ironwood Bigun Lambsfoot! :)

An excellent picture of a tremendous pair, Ron! I've joined you with my own Lamb and Churchill pairing today.

I had a few hours to myself this afternoon (something that rarely happens), so I decided to explore the area around Lake Minnewashta in Chanhassen, MN. I had my Nifebrite #14 with me, which I’m carrying this week for Mike’s GAW.

There’s a paved “winter walking trail” that I stayed on for a short while, until I found this stairway leading down to an unpaved trail closer to the lake.

In winter, these trails are supposed to be reserved for cross country skiers (there were several signs along the way forbidding hikers, pets, bicycles and snowmobiles), but at this point there’s little enough snow remaining that I don’t think anyone will be out skiing. (Some stretches of the trail — those with less tree cover — had more mud than snow.)

Nifebrite’s pretty easy to spot, even from a distance. :D

When I got to the end of that trail, I found the sign for the fishing pier…

…but the fishing pier was nowhere to be seen.

Found it.

It was about 100 feet from shore, on the opposite side of the peninsula from where it’s supposed to be. I assume this was done intentionally, although it seems a bit odd.

You know you’re in Minnesota when there’s a lifeguard stand with a “No Snowmobiling” sign.

One more shot of the #14 for good measure.

Thank you JJ, tell me more my friend :)

Morning folks, sunny weather here at the moment, if windy, so I'm spending some time doing some work in the garden, before the next lot of rain comes  Just nipped indoors for a coffee ;) Carrying these two again

A small yet robust Yorkshire Terrier; very sharp, too. :)
Excellent background for your Hartshead Barlow; don't light any matches, though!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Wonderful diversity in your fantastic five today; I'm always a sucker for a classic old Kamp King!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Most thankful for your continuing appreciation. Very fine image. Excellent pair of dark cocobolo-clad knives.between the details like the bale, lanyard, etc., and the handsome simplicity of the Cattaraugus, I am having a hard time choosing which one I like more.
Thank you for your very kind words, Harvey!!!

Nice post Barrett, I've been there a few times before:cool::thumbsup:

Been operating all week in solidarity with Crazy Canucks GAW crowd (accidentally). Had picked out a knife to carry during the early week (a Craftsman) and got in a rush Monday morning, walking out the door I grabbed my Boker Whittler again and it has been with Since then on a week long road trip. I’ve gotten along just fine with carrying and using the same pocketknife all week - this is not a good development! OH
