What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Reaching out - I had a recent PM conversation with a BF Member about some Northwoods knives. If that member reads this message please contact me via PM in the same message.
I will not respond to any unrelated messages concerning Northwoods knives.

That's all you'll need. :cool::thumbsup:
Thanks John! :)

That's a tidy timber trio, Ron; top choices!:cool::thumbsup:

My Lambsfoot of the Week is an A. Wright & Son 2019 Guardians ironwood lambsfoot, a Jack Black SFO that I named Valley Jack:

Thanks Gary! Beautiful Ironwood on that Valley Jack my friend! :)

That’s some really attractive patina! Has an almost damascus quality to it.
Thank you! :)

Very nice Gev! It’s been awhile since we’ve saw your Bushboot! :)

Thanks for the comments on my knives, Jeff & Ron & Dean. That amber bone Sodbuster Jr is one of the best examples (IMHO) of that cover I've seen, and the "Mother of Toilet Seat" Imperial is one of my favorite knives! :)
Jeff, your teardrop barehead 2-blade jack is superb, and Ron, the patina on your PD stag lambsfoot is fascinating!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thank you Gary! :)

I find it hard to believe that I am carrying these 3 today . The Stags , 47 & 43 are in slips and the Maserin was used for cutting duties .

Three fine looking knives Harry! :)

My friends, Venango County in PA will be released from a majority of C-19 virus restrictions beginning at midnight on 05/08/2020. Hopefully GEC will return to work soon after that.
If and when that happens please give the fine American craftsmen your full support. These are some of the most dedicated men and women you will ever meet.
Build American, Buy American, Hire American. God Bless the USA. Plan safety into everything you do.
Thanks for the possibly good news Will .

Got lawn work done. Hauled off a truck load of scrap and assorted debris to the local landfill. Swept and cleaned out our garage getting ready for some fresh paint tomorrow. Showered. Had a nice meal. Backside is dragging my tracks out. I forgot to put “We” in front of those sentences! ;) Now I’m setting here in my Lazy Boy with a nice hot cup of French Roast and two of my favorite Stag knives. I hope y’all have had as much fun as “We” did today! :D :)

I carried a few knives today: my micarta 71 mod, an Opinel no. 6 mod, a pocket carver by Jason Ritchie, and a delrin 71 I modified last night and finished polishing off today. Like Ron I cleaned out the garage. I found a couple of old rug my mom gave us when they moved. I let the kids put them in their “play shed”

I'm going for a couple whittlers today, an old Robeson and a newer GEC. :)
Thank you JJ. Two beauties. Love the Osage 29. Fine image.

It's Friday, Prost!
Great pairing, today. Cheers, Dennis.

 Is there such a thing as a "grail cookie"??
Thank you GT. Enderes was a manufacture in both Minn. and IA(Look at them prices!). R.F. Mosley is a Sheffield Lamb Foot. @Jack Black Jack would be more knowledgeable and informative. Lovely trio posted today.

@Jack Black -Thank you Jack. That Abbydale Jack is so nice.

Stag Saturday, right?
Great looking Stag pairing, today Vince.

Hartshead Barlow today.
The Sourdough loaf and Hartshead are perfect, Dave.

Thanks GT, the unmodified one RR calls it the Tortuga Trapper. Just in case anyone wants to know, tortuga is spanish for tortoise. Each section of the concentric rings are concave, so from the side it gives it a finger groove kinda feel. One of the things I like about RR is their willingness to try interesting jigging patterns:thumbsup::thumbsup: I wish other makers would jump on board with the gunstock checkering actually o_O
Here are some pictures of my Case with Gunstock Checkering David .

I usually just find a bunch of worn old folders I need to clean up  :D Thank you very much JJ, that's the 'Government', I bought it in France in early 1991, just before my 30th birthday :)
SOG was really at it's peak in the 90s!:thumbsup:
Plenty of blade options there my friend :)

Morning folks, hope everyone is keeping well, staying safe, and not going crazy! Have a good weekend

Another very fine threesome today; I quite like the name of the Locomotive, too!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Supreme sable sylvan-sided slicers for Wooden Wednesday, JJ!:thumbsup::cool:
I can see why that's a favorite, JJ!:cool::cool: I really like the checkered bone, the double-threaded bolster, and the spear/pen combo.
Thank you X 2 Gary; GEC really did a fine job on the 78!!!

An absolutely terrific threesome you're toting today; your daughter has certainly picked some beauties, too!:D:thumbsup::thumbsup:
JJ, you post plenty of pulchritudinous pairs of pocket knives that make my heart go pit-a-pat, but that pair of shadow pens probably sets my pulse pounding most powerfully of all!:cool::cool::thumbsup:
Thank you very much; I've got quite a grin from your preponderance of "Ps"!!!;):D:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thank you JJ. Two beauties. Love the Osage 29. Fine image.
Thank you very much, Harvey!!!

Christopher Johnson triple cap Lamb Foot and a triple chocolate biscotti. It was a crumby job, but someone had to do it.:D

Quite the astonishing pair today; your more recent French beauty paired with a classic and tasty Brit (love the old Edneres Ad, too)!:thumbsup::cool:

Did you do the "mod" on that fork? Classic and brilliant!!

Yes and thanks. A friend asked me to help him clear out a restaurant that had gone out of business a couple of years ago. Among the cocktail glasses, kitchen implements, and pots/pans, we scavenged, I picked up a good bit of flatware for our hunt camp - way too much. So, while sitting on the porch waiting to go sit in a tree, I grabbed a pair of needle-nosed pliers and worked out my deer frustrations.

The one on the right, Antonini Old Bear medium (80 mm blade). Since I got them I have made shallow easy open notches to both, sanded the handles lightly and then oiled and waxed them. Also melted some grease around the pivot like I do with Opinels. Damn, there's something in the handle of the larger one that needs fixing that shows in the picture.
