What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I've been pretty consistent on what I carry everyday, so I haven't posted in awhile. My EDC most days (less the Browning).

Thanks! The wood is resin impregnated California Buckeye Burl. It's pretty wild looking.

Took the dogs out to one of our favorite spots. Should have checked camera battery before we left, died after 2 pics. Sorry for the indoor shots of the steel I was carrying.

Gorgeous, just a gorgeous part of our world in which you are fortunate to live Kris! Thanks for sharing its beauty with us.

What magnificent scenery, Kris! At a distance, it looks like your beautiful dogs are a couple of wolves having a swim.

Whats the name of the damascus lockback?

I usually do a 50/50 pumpkin ale with Guinness on top but my local brewery made a pumpkin stout, pretty tasty, should go well with the braised curried pork with spiced apples and basmati rice with raisians & caraway seeds. :-)

I know I'm straying off topic, but I love your culinary choices Pete! I wish I lived near enough that we could enjoy one another's cooking.

Oh, and the clip blade of the Schrade darkened a bit with apple duty today.

Thanks, We love living here, it is a big part of our lives. The lockback is a Boker Fellow in stainless basketweave damascus by Devin Thomas and nicely grained ebony covers.

I've got one of my two new bucks in the watch pocket. For $20, I am really impressed with this guy!!

I am really happy you found something in your current budget to make you happy!

Nice photo too. Maybe when you save a little more a USA Delrin version will be in order?

Kevin

Thanks for the kind words Kevin, it means a lot. I am going to carry this little guy for a while and see how I feel about it with use. I like the size since it is a tad longer than my SBJ, but it would be great if it were much larger so it could ride next to my wallet in my front right pocket (I've been warming up to carrying my wallet and Bullnose this way).

I actually almost bought the larger stockman for $5 less, but I did not like the brown wood covers it had for some reason. If I can get over the fact that these guys are all stainless, I may give in and buy one of the larger ones in derlin. Maybe, I could experiment with different ways of forcing a good looking patina on stainless so I would warm up to it more. Honestly, that is all I have against stainless; it does it's job by not staining :D

There are ways to etch and even blue stainless. Check it out when you get a chance. Don't want to get too off topic again :-p

Have fun shopping!
