Hard to believe it's already the middle of the week, so I grabbed these two peppery French slicers as consolation. :)
Much thanks JJ. A fine pair of French cutlery. Love the smell of Juniper wood. Such nice file work. Excellent image, too.

very clever pic
Thank you Jack. Really liking your Carl Schlieper Scout. All the nice vintage touches.

Tremendous example that German Svoboda (sounds like a Czech name originally so possibly an Austro-Hungarian cutler) a real prize carry :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks for your interest Will. I know nothing about the origins of the knife, maker, age, etc. but you've made me curious now so I think I'll attempt to do some research later and see if I can dig up any info. Here's a pic of the tang stamp.

These are a few of my favorite things. M12 stubby 3/8 impact, a pair of Knipex Cobras and of course my Lloyd trapper with awesome rag!

I hardly ever pick up a ratchet anymore if I can squeeze my 3/8 stubby in there. Even got some fancy stubby impact sockets for it.

Today decided to pay some attention to this old Boker USA congress. Rat tail bolsters are killer. Riding along are the Black Box Winchester 2903 (very nice gift from a forumite when I could not locate one) and a Case mini copperhead.

Nice trio of knives, Jeff. I don't recall ever seeing that Browning model before, I like the handle shape and blade profile, looks like a perfect fb for all around use. Enjoy the outdoors today, it's been miserably wet lately for sure.:(

My carries for the past two days included this stag handled pen knife stamped B. Svoboda, paired with a larger Kissing Crane yesterday and a smooth as silk HJ-10 today.

Thank you:)!
I used that Browning a lot today lashing trellises for peas and pole beans out of willow poles I cut at my pond. There is a big advantage in pocket carrying a fixed blade- especially when trying to re-sheath it with one hand!

I googled B Svoboda. Looks like he was a Solingen cutler. Nice old pen!
Went to the dentist today, saw the hygienist and she is a very pleasant young woman who scraped and polish my teeth etc. At the end she says " You know, you have really very good teeth&gums" I perked up (at a methusezala age I'm lucky to have no extractions and very few fillings :)) Before she smirkingly quipped "For your age" :D:cool:

So, decided to carry something whitish today;) Fontenille-Pataud locking Laguiole 9cm

Love the EO on the right.
