What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thank you Jack. Love the CS Roach Belly. It looks like it can do many things.

Thank you Harvey, I really like the pattern, and the CS version is incredible value :) :thumbsup:

Beautiful Lamb :) You are making me hungry again my friend! :D :thumbsup:

Same ol same ol for me. Have a great Thursday, folks!
Made the semimonthly Costco run today. If I could hold a 3 foot machete at arm's length, maybe I could keep the recommended social distancing, while sprinting through the store with my cart. ;)
What a strange world we're living in.

I know the feeling Gary, I've been tempted to take a quarterstaff shopping with me! :D Fine pair :) :thumbsup:

My trio today :).

Terrific trio Tom :thumbsup:

Lovely Lambsfoot Les :) :thumbsup:

Thank you very kindly Jack!!!
I guess I missed the day/designator as I'm fortunate to know which day it is!:eek: You would do far better than I would against a bear; great trifecta on a budget, very useful too!:cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I'm going with these two 1930s jacks both wearing black. :)

If I come across a bear in Yorkshire, I'm going to be REALLY worried JJ! :D Those fabulous Jacks are right up my street :) :thumbsup:

Morning folks, carrying a Vic Farmer with my Hartshead Barlow, and an Old Friend from a long-deceased Sheffield cutler called Stuart Mitchell, had this one since 1979 :thumbsup:

3 nice looking Barlows there Jim . I used to start driving into work dreading what I was headed into what was left over from the day before . After 18 miles I always remembered that it Never Was As Bad As I Thought It Would Be . The next 14 miles always went better . Take care my friend and I hope your week is going better for you .

Harry

It’s all good Harry, there is light at the end of the tunnel and it’s getting brighter. Ironically 32 miles is the exact distance to my office, but today I’m in the field:thumbsup:

The columbine is rocking. I actually moved about 90% of it out of this border to make room for Grandma’s old Siberian iris that I moved from out back.
If you like perennials, columbine is a nice one to have. Super hardy, and it multiplies readily without getting obnoxiously invasive. I moved clumps of it out into naturalized borders where it holds it’s own against other stuff. View attachment 1349262
I can’t really qualify for Black Friday, since the old Navy knife is brown.
For me, today will be FOUR LINE FRIDAY.

Nice Jacks JJ. That old, non-celluloid, black synthetic handle material seems to hold up well over the decades, only my Imperial BSA has shrunk anymore than what you show. Wonder what the stuff was? Carrying my HSB Junior Cattle Knife for Black Friday, same type of handles. OH

Just when I thought last week was a crazy week...then this week started. Very little time to poke around here and have to be up extra early for another hectic day, but here’s what I’ve had with me the last three days. Apparently my subconscious decided it was Barlow week.

Your subconscious has great taste Jim! I too am a sucker for Barlows:thumbsup::cool:

Three gorgeous Barlows. :cool::thumbsup:

A beautiful pair of black jigged bone knives. Absolute Classics. :cool::thumbsup:

Excellent picture, Jack. :cool::thumbsup:
The texture of the rock really compliments the texture in the stag.

Pretty smooth red bone... Looks like candy. :):thumbsup:

Excellent pairing, Ron. :cool::thumbsup:
The two blades are pretty much opposites of each other.

The AC holding its own against the competition. ;):thumbsup:

Love the color choice!!! :cool::thumbsup:

Very elegant Black Friday pairing. :cool::thumbsup:

Every shell construction Imperial I’ve handled has great snap and smooth action. Good working man’s knife.

Er, working woman’s knife!
It's true, and I have a bunch of them around here that need some oiling and sharpening.
I have yet to read such a colorful description of the old "Imperial" linoleum hollow covers, it made me smile!:D:thumbsup:
:D I can't claim to have come up with that description, but it does amuse me.

It's Old Friends Friday!
