New to me user. Cleaned off old patina with 6K sandpaper and acetone to remove all oil. Made carnitas slicing up jalapenos, garlic, and onion to make this nice patina. Stropped and ready.

That is a Parronino brand made in Chile.

Wow! That looks like a wonderful haul! They must have been saving them all for you during the lockdown.

That is very interesting Rachel, thanks for the link

They were! :D There were a whole load of small penknives, and Richards knives, as well as a few more jacks and sportsman's knives, but they were overpriced, and I thought I'd spent enough today ;)

Feeling bright and sunny today, my carries kind of reflect that :).

Nice pairing Tom :)

Wow! Great haul, Jack. :)
That bottom one has wonderfull handles and fantastic bolsters.:thumbsup:

Thanks John, that Pruner is by Richartz of Solingen :) Interestingly, while it has their 'Whale' mark on the tang, it does not have the name of the company, nor the country of origin. Like a lot of German knives, made in the early to mid 20th century, it is simply marked 'Foreign'.

Two for Thursday.

Classy pair Gary

Thanks a lot Bill :)

I'm glad you still have that knife :)

And that one! :D

What's the top one Rachel?

Thank you Ron :)

Good to see you here mate :)

Very interesting Radiant Ron, 'Pit' is the Yorkshire word for a coal-mine, and the belts are conveyor belts. Knives were carried for use in emergencies, if someone got caught in the belt, and presumably when they needed to be replaced. Some discussion about them here

What a treasure! Very generous Alan :)

Thank you Harvey :)

Nice Grohmann Jer

Fine utility selection there GT

Thanks a lot JJ, that's (the British) Dennis The Menace :D :)

Looks like you've got everything covered there :)

Hope you enjoyed your hike Dave, great pics :)

Very late posting today, as I have been out all day, including a visit to my local flea-market :) My Hartshead Barlow together with a few of my pick-ups today

For me , today is Two TEWs Thursday . I sometimes like to carry these 2 old Eye Witness Lambfoot together . Would really like to know where all they have been in their life . I just know that I have had them for a very few years of their time . The very worn one sure looks to me like someone really liked and carried it an awful lot . I know that I feel the same way about the other one . Please pardon the re-cycled photos .
