How does the micarta feel in-hand? I do like that shield, especially against the black.

I carried it in pocket yesterday afternoon, and spent the whole time "worrying" it with my thumb. Love the way it feels. Smooth yet grippy.

I put the #54 aside today so I can carry the #62

I love your 62! Your photos have inspire me to pick up the Half Congress in antique amber jigged bone. Wish I could find one from the same run as yours. Beautiful pocket knife.

My thoughts exactly. The shape of that shield on the shape of that frame. Someone in the design department hit a homerun with that one!

Thanks Paul. It has the prettiest old bone of any knife I have ever owned.

The other side is not quite as exquisite, but still nice.

Your comment may have just knocked me off the fence. I was undecided about keeping this one. Nothing wrong with it. I have just been in paring down mood lately.

Thanks Burnside, thanks Doug, the color of the scales have changed a bit, darker from use.
First day I had if pic

Here is another comment, of all the knives you have shown that is my favorite :)

^^Thanks Sitflyer, I'm enjoying these 25's. GEC has definitely listened to their consumers, as the pulls on this micarta 25, and the BF'12 knife are near perfect. Firm and smooth but not nailbreakers by any means. I'd rate this guy a 5 or 6 on both blades.
