What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Peened the pivot a little, nice and snug now. Think I will throw it in my pocket for work today, will post the good stuff after work, my stag T.A. Davison will be here today. Very snowy and cold today

Kris - that´s a great looking classic you´re EDCing today - here in Bavaria we´re gonna have snow tomorrow. However, winter comes with big steps.

This little fellow slipped into my jeans this morning. It was laying there on the desk volunteering, so I picked it up to let it ride the pocket today.

That Halfrich Tracker is one of my favorites, Elliott! Thanks for showing her off.

Really glad you like that one, Gary. The funny thing about it is that it has fantastic (natural) amber stag but when I got it a few years ago from Jerry at the Blade Show, some folks didn't really "get it"...

...That is until I told them to open up the blade and put the knife in hand. It has the most amazing feel...it just brings a smile to your face. One thing that Jerry does so well is work out the ergonomics of his designs, as I'm sure you already well know. This "Tracker" prototype was no exception in that regard.

My Case Peanut and todays pawn shop find, a Schrade 706 Uncle Henry Gentleman Jim. Cheap thrills since the 706 has plastic scales and 440 steel.

Here is some, to me, very interesting info on the Damascus steel on the stag peanut. http://www.devinthomas.com/faq.cfm

Care to share more on the coping blade mod? Very nice!

Thanks, there's not much to say really.
There were two reasons: I much prefer a coping blade and I was quite surprised by the length of the pen blade. So I just cut the tip off with a grinding wheel and finished it on water stones.
The top corner is a bit rounder than it looks and sits in the right place between fingers, so there's no hot spot.
And it helped cutting the leather for the pouch of course :)

I'm toting an old ulster 3" equal end cigar jack that I found in my grandpa's barn about 10 years ago. I love the scales on this one! If my phone wasn't broken, I'd take a photo...(soon).
