What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Another newb to the forum - seems like a good a place as any to start posting.

Not new to knives. Had nothing but traditionals years ago, but after knives going missing during moves, I bit on the tactical bug for a while (several decades). Over the last year I started replacing tactical types with traditionals and modern traditionals.

I would love to get a GEC radio jack with cap lifter and clip/ spear blade if one ever gets released again.

Only GEC I currently have is a Northfield #12. These days, my knives mostly see light use cutting food, opening envelopes/ packages, cutting cord, etc...

Looking good Dean

I’m on the disabled list, and did my taxes, but the garlic was dug up.

Take it easy Dave :)

Thank you kindly, Jack!!!
A pair of stunning wood covered totes for you today; nicely set in the great outdoors, as well

Have these two thrifty swayback totes from Hammer Brand/Imperial, made in the late 1930s. :)

Many thanks JJ, terrific thrifty pair there my friend :)

Got my Hartshead Barlow with me again today, and a Thrifty Thursday RR Sowbelly :) Have a good day folks

All day, sir. At least until the much needed rain started about 4:00.

And I’m taking off tomorrow to spend the day with my four year old grandson!:D

Thanks, Jon! Not for me, but I harvested some produce for a customer, and pruned some tomato plants with that hawkbill.

Have a great day with your grandson Jeff (lost this quote from my previous post) :)

I think these qualify as Thrifty for Thursday~ a TL-29 re-covered in cow bone sourced in the dog chew section in a store’s pet food department, and an Opinel no.8 which had to be re-shaped after I dropped it and broke the tip off years ago. I guess I was thrifty enough to toss it in a box rather than the trash.View attachment 1379014View attachment 1379015Enjoy the day!

Half/Stop Half/Stop Thank you Ron  I'm really ecstatic about it:D That's a great knife you gave to Harry, a good honest worker-the sort he'd appreciate. Enjoy your week-end my friend
You have every right to be ecstatic! It’s a beauty! Thanks Will. Harry and Nancy are dear friends to us. We think the world of them! I hope your weekend is a good one as well my friend! :)

Nice pairing Jack! I’ve always admired the covers on that model of RR Sowbelly. Gary 5K Qs 5K Qs has a great example! Have a good one! :)

Good morning to y'all! I was up and off to the local Farmer's Market by 5:00am this morning! I got a bushel of White Half Runners, a 1/2 bushel of okra and some yellow squash! :) With the heat index going to be over a 100°F here today I needed something to keep me busy inside! I'm carrying a #53 Tidioute TK Cuban and a Wright's PD Stag big 'un! Y'all stay safe out there! :)

Thank you Ron, I really like their smooth tobacco bone, even though I don't often carry my RR knives. This one was a gift from Papa Andi many years ago :)

Yes...imgur has been acting up recently and today I don’t get the same upload screen...tells me “ooops! we couldn’t find that page” ??? Anybody have advice for this Luddite?

I’m in Sacramento so it’s relatively hot here and they are in full sun. I probably could have waited another week or so, but I’m having the house painted and needed to get them out of the way.

Figured w/ the tag “Sacto” you were in/near Sacramento...Sloughhouse was the hops capital for a reason!! I’m by Bay but in a hot zone...my plants are pushing 20 feet in length but just budding now. They are new, replaced my old plants this past spring.
