Enjoying some time on my lanai (porch) before the hurricane...

Stay safe

That Bradford looks like a handy little fixed blade, Jack. Do you have a pocket sheath for it, or carry it in your bag? (I assume belt carry is out of the question over there?) :D

It is Barrett :) It'd work well in a pocket sheath, and I sometimes slip it in my pocket in the supplied sheath, which is of good quality. Generally, I belt carry it though (horizontal, at the front) - wouldn't go to the pub with it though  It's very comfortable to carry :)

Over by here, it’s a fine Schradurday morning.
Maiden voyage for this dead mint 77OT Improved Trapper, which @Old Hunter surprised me with recently. In a slip:oops: out of respect. For now.:D
And this yellow stunner, the 881Y, which @r8shell surprised me with a couple of years ago. As you can tell, no slip:cool:, and I use it.
Thanks, Rachell and Bruce.

Have a great day, porch friends. Get outside!View attachment 1384332View attachment 1384333

I’ve got one on the way. :D

I got this one in the mail a couple days ago. I sharpened it up and put it to use making lunch today. I think I might carry it for a while (a couple weeks? a month?) and see how I like carrying a knife this size regularly.

I hope you enjoy that MAM Barrett! You’ve got a great start on making your 23L into a EDC. I love seeing that sweet little foot in the corner of your photo. It brings back so many great memories. My sweet little blonde headed girl is 36 now. Sadly she lives over 600 miles away, but we still talk every day! ;)

Mine does that too.
Usually it’s a sign it’s stressed by not enough H2O. It’s natural habitat is riverine.
“River” birch...;)

Put your hose on a tiny trickle and let it run for a full day, maybe two - give it a deep soak under the drip line.
It gets watered 3 days a week with the irrigation system but that week of over 100 degree heat index was hard on it. I agree that it needs more water for sure.

A lot of folks were upset at the color choice this year - I guess there were lots of blue variation dealer specials over the years. Personally, I love it! Cheery is a good descriptor for it.

It's one of the first annual colors I've seen that immediately caught my eye. I can see why folks who collect the various colors wouldn't love a near-repeat, but this is my only annual to date. Happy electric warlock blue! :D
