What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I picked this one up from my friend Ron last year in August. Thanks Ron. I’m still loving it.

I guess I didn’t take the exchange rates into account my friend! ;) Your Chestnut Sway Back Jack in CV is a great knife and a great gift from Gary. Also very sought after I might add. They are available in CV single blade Gents again and many offerings in stainless for both single and double, but unfortunately no CV Jacks! :( It’s sad because Case would sale all they could make! :D

It's not the exchange rate Ron (or they'd be under £20), it's a combination of import duties, tax, and blatant profiteering!  Thank you very much my friend, it's a knife I treasure :)

Went out last night for a nice anniversary dinner with my wife at a restaurant on the ICW in Beaufort - carried this modded Schrade jackknife. Going to carry it again today. OH

A belated Happy Anniversary to you and the missus Bruce :)

Cool pic Les :)

Thanks Jack! Nice pair of knives you have today. It is a shame they hit you so hard on the knives you get from the U.S. but with the exchange rates and shipping and handling charges the stag Lambfoot I got from Sheffield was quite a bit more than you could get one for over there. I wanted it so that made it worth it. :p Here is the horn handled Lambfoot I got here in the States.

Noon. Was up to 39°(102+F) at 3pm. Minima is 3° pessimistic). Wind ESE, well, if there was any... relaative humidity... forget!:)

Only 26c here (plus that is not minus ;)) very nice day too. But that heat...:poop: Odd thing is that brick houses or blocks really heat up here after a few days of heat and retain it like bakehouses:( Whereas, wooden houses stay very warm in winter and cool in summer due to insulation.

My suggestion for re-hydrating: Couple of ice cold Gin&Tonics with Lime, nicely chilled White with selection of fruits and cheeses:thumbsup: then staying in with the shutters down and marvelling at your favourite (current) knife :)

Thanks, Will

The rural mail carrier left a knife sized package in our box the other day, which contained this lil beauty from Solingen by way of South Carolina.View attachment 1393427Thank you Jon! JonMcD JonMcD . The stag is nicely matched, fitted, and polished, and feels so nice in hand. It will likely help persuade some cucumbers to come with me today.
For other duties, the same as yesterday.
Schrade Walden frame with a newer 194 blade, and Big Jack.View attachment 1393428Have a good Friday!

Glad you like it!

Not here fortunately, it's a pre-war (1939) red brick house rather cold in winter and keeping freshness in hot days. What is insulation? :D
