What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Back to basics today....

That Tele is not “officially” vintage. It is one of two I call The Sisters. One Tele, and one Strat, from 1982 and 83. They are both E series made in Japan Squiers.
I got them both from a guitar trading buddy really cheap ~ one in exchange for me doing a brake job for him, lol, sometime back in the ‘90s.

I took out the original guts in the Tele ~ six saddle bridge, pickups, control plate, switches, pots...bagged them and put in good stuff ~ Fender vintage 3 saddle bridge, Fender Black Guard pickups, CTS and Switchcraft pots, switches, and jacks.
I had played it so much that some of the frets were quite worn down, so last winter, I did a level & polish job on the neck.
It’s a special guitar ~ sounds and plays incredible.
This is the one I traced out to make templates for the first home-build Tele I did.
The only thing I’ve swapped on the Strat is the bridge pickup. The original was too thin and trebly for my taste, so last year, I put in a hand wound pickup from a great winder named John Benson. Much better. I have used his Tele and P.90s ~ highly recommended.

Glad you like my old Camillus:D, and thanks for the chance to ramble on and on about a favorite subject!

Oh boy. I will refrain from letting the guitar geek fully come out. I used to have a beautiful 83 tele from Japan with the photoflame tobaccoburst finish. Such a slinky, fast neck and a great player. A bridge and pickup swap works wonders on those.

The next knife pic needs to have that Fleschwund Customs axe as the background.

Aaand, to keep the knife content flowing...This is a Barlow and a 93 on my main LP, 2001 Standard with a ton of miles, which is riddled with tweaks. Push pull pots, bumblebee caps, RioGrande pickups, new saddles, etc, etc, etc.

Case TL-29 from I believe the 1960's, scales are a little shrunk and the blade has some deep scratches from someone using a grinder to sharpen it o_O
But this old case has near perfect fit and finish, blade and tool are still perfectly centered, but the best part is the snap! The walk and talk, it rivals everything I own.

Oh Boy! Very nice, buddy. Very nice.

The only reason I posed my knives on the Tele this morning was that the sun wasn't up yet! But let that inner guitar geek out!

Today, my cargo pant selection is as follows.... right front pocket, the new GEC 33 conductor. Right cargo pocket, the GEC 23 LL in mesquite (wood wednesday...covered), right watch pocket, the Case half whittler in natural bone and CV... and the left cargo pocket, the Schrade 8OT workhorse...

"Remington" (note quotation marks) Canoe. I don't know who is really responsible for making this knife.
Marbles MR417 two blade slipjoint folding hunter.
(I have no idea if the musket shield that is pointing towards the person who is using the knife is an design "oops" or a subliminal message.)

Edit:
I decided to keep the GEC/Northfield 852211 Harness Jack in my pocket.
It has fake faux stag covers. ("fake faux" = "real", right?)

You must really like Pen Knives to double up on them.

well, I DO like them... but usually just one at a time. I brought them both to show a guy at work the differences between the Case and GEC.

I think they need to start putting more watch pockets in pants.... I have a flock of watch pocket sized knives now, and not enough days in the week to carry each of them.
