That's some eye candy you got there, always love seeing photo's of the tortoise acrylic & 440C's
Thanks, the previous owner who seems absent from the forum said that he dyed the bone covers with some Fieblings leather dye...Your Texas Jack is nothing to sneeze at, and I wouldn't kick that Pena out of my pocket either.
sitflyer , love that Case/Bose Arkansas Hunter! What a beautiful design, and the color of yours is perfect. Congratulations.
Lovely Bose.
That's a lot of hate. Not true. I hate the Vikings, Bears and Cowboys even when they suck.
Yes yes yes. I must make sure my praises are directed in the correct direction. The Whittler version of the 79 is definitely the winner in my assessment. Beautiful!
Wow, what a stunning beautiful knife.
Stunning pair of stag covered beauties, Jack; love that chunky stag grip on your fixed blade!Edit - Forgot to post what I'm carrying!Thought I'd have a change

With that pair in your pocket, Ron, you ought to have plenty of power!!Well my Friday got off to a great start. We were awaken by loud trucks on our street before 5am. We woke to find our power was out. One of my neighbors across the street had a tree split and it took out a couple of lines. The utility guys got the mess cleared and the power back on around 8:45am. Thankfully it was not off long enough to cause any issues in the fridge or freezer.
I’m carrying Ebony and Sambar this morning. I hope y’all have a great day!

I occasionally suffer "paralysis by analysis", but at least in your case, the paralysis wasn't total and you got an impressive result despite "excessive investment" of various resources!...
Thanks GT! It took me way longer than I'd care to admit to make that handle; as per normal I over thought everything. There's got to be a term for when you over-spend and over-improve on something that didn't require either... Or if it doesn't exist, it should.

The new place must feel much more like home with your knives all available, Jeff!I finally got my knives unpacked and can enjoy some variety! Picked the big S&M stockman for today.

Thanks for the additional info; that IS pretty much the perfect size!Thank you, sir. It is 3.5" closed, just over 6.25" open with a 2.5" cutting edge. Perfect size!!
Thanks for the effusive compliments, Dean!Excellent group, Gary! I love everyone of those - The Chestnut Sowbelly is beautiful, of course the 897UH is classic perfection, RR tobacco bone is a dream of knife covers and your CV amber bone Case Canoe is what I always think of when someone says "Canoe!"

Cool pic and story of the naming of a ravishing knife, Gary!I was out in the shed this morning and saw my first Woolly Bear Caterpillar of the season. According to folklore the size of the brown and black bands indicate what kind of winter we'll have. This guy is telling me that it'll be a mild winter, which is fine by me.
Since I had my Cramer LC Jr in my pocket today, and the amber stag is very similar to Woolly Bear colors, I gave my knife a name. "Woolly Bear Trapper" it is!

Great story and photo, Dan!My 14 yo daughter’s RR Canoe.
I gave it to her a while ago and she carries it all the time.
Yesterday she and her sister went kayaking for a couple hours.
When they returned they told me all about their adventures, how the explored the lake, got to a creek with some rapids etc.
My14 yo then said as she gave me my phone
“ Oh, and I took a really nice picture of my knife”

I am so proud of her![]()
