What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

.

sitflyer sitflyer , love that Case/Bose Arkansas Hunter! What a beautiful design, and the color of yours is perfect. Congratulations.
Thanks, the previous owner who seems absent from the forum said that he dyed the bone covers with some Fieblings leather dye...Your Texas Jack is nothing to sneeze at, and I wouldn't kick that Pena out of my pocket either;), very nice pair.

Lovely Bose. :cool::thumbsup:

Not true. I hate the Vikings, Bears and Cowboys even when they suck.
That's a lot of hate.
I save my hate for the refs.

...
Really like that old Imperial of yours
Thanks, Steve. :) That Imperial clip/pen toothpick is one of my favorites, especially because one of my grandpas used to carry one that I remember as being identical to it when I was a lad.

...
I always enjoy seeing that Office Knife Gary :)
...
That office knife has so much character. Looks like it has a story. I love that.
...
...
Thank you, Gary. Your Keen Kutter Office knive is officially cool.
...
Lovely threesome you're toting today; the classic KK Office Knife is super cool!:cool::thumbsup:
Thanks, Jack & Dan & Dean & JJ. :) I think I'm fortunate to have an example of that iconic pattern.

TGIF everyone. Still no snow :D
Another week with the 29. Have a great weekend!

All the pocket time you're giving that 29 seems to agree with it, Mike; looking fantastic!:thumbsup::cool:

Well my Friday got off to a great start. We were awaken by loud trucks on our street before 5am. We woke to find our power was out. One of my neighbors across the street had a tree split and it took out a couple of lines. The utility guys got the mess cleared and the power back on around 8:45am. Thankfully it was not off long enough to cause any issues in the fridge or freezer. I’m carrying Ebony and Sambar this morning. I hope y’all have a great day! :)

With that pair in your pocket, Ron, you ought to have plenty of power!! ;):thumbsup:

...
Thanks GT! It took me way longer than I'd care to admit to make that handle; as per normal I over thought everything. There's got to be a term for when you over-spend and over-improve on something that didn't require either... Or if it doesn't exist, it should.
...
I occasionally suffer "paralysis by analysis", but at least in your case, the paralysis wasn't total and you got an impressive result despite "excessive investment" of various resources!

I finally got my knives unpacked and can enjoy some variety! Picked the big S&M stockman for today.
...
The new place must feel much more like home with your knives all available, Jeff!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thank you, sir. It is 3.5" closed, just over 6.25" open with a 2.5" cutting edge. Perfect size!!
Thanks for the additional info; that IS pretty much the perfect size! :)

Excellent group, Gary! I love everyone of those - The Chestnut Sowbelly is beautiful, of course the 897UH is classic perfection :), RR tobacco bone is a dream of knife covers and your CV amber bone Case Canoe is what I always think of when someone says "Canoe!"
...
Thanks for the effusive compliments, Dean! :) I agree with you that my pairs of stockmans and canoes this week are clearly notable, as is your Ancient TC!:cool::thumbsup:

A very nice quartet Gary! :)
Thanks, Ron; I owe at least a quarter of it to you!:cool::thumbsup:

Toting these two old black composite covered jacks today. :)
Superb pair of vintage dark jacks, JJ!:cool::cool:

Just finished giving the yard a haircut...had this in me pocket.

And...I don’t see why I wouldn’t continue to carry this beautiful #23 with blade delete thanks to Jason. @Signalprick :D
Wow! You have a lot of fall color already, and that knife is gorgeous!:thumbsup::cool:

That's an impressive pair of heavy-duty whittlers, Dee!:thumbsup::cool:

I'm off out for a hike (slightly later than anticipated). Have a great weekend everyone

Splendid quartet of tools for your hike, Jack!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Lovely stag Joker lockback! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

One more advantage to a good patina: No need for the "sharpie trick". ;)

I'm joining in Stag Saturday with a gift from @Modoc ED :

Le Thiers Nature par Fontenille Pataud
Some sensuous sinuosity on that one, Vince!:cool::cool:

I was out in the shed this morning and saw my first Woolly Bear Caterpillar of the season. According to folklore the size of the brown and black bands indicate what kind of winter we'll have. This guy is telling me that it'll be a mild winter, which is fine by me.
Since I had my Cramer LC Jr in my pocket today, and the amber stag is very similar to Woolly Bear colors, I gave my knife a name. "Woolly Bear Trapper" it is!

Cool pic and story of the naming of a ravishing knife, Gary!:thumbsup::cool:

I'm carrying my Yellow Case medium stockman with punch today.

Looks good!:thumbsup::cool: I may need to pick up a punch stockman when the opportunity arises. ;)

Phenomenal pair of aged knives, Steve!:cool::thumbsup:

My 14 yo daughter’s RR Canoe.

I gave it to her a while ago and she carries it all the time.

Yesterday she and her sister went kayaking for a couple hours.
When they returned they told me all about their adventures, how the explored the lake, got to a creek with some rapids etc.
My14 yo then said as she gave me my phone
“ Oh, and I took a really nice picture of my knife” :)

I am so proud of her :D
Great story and photo, Dan!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
I probably have more RR canoes than any other kind of knife, so I can relate to your daughter's enthusiasm. Tell her she should think of herself as a "canoesseur"! :D
